The other night I rented Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. It was one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. The visuals were absolutly breath taking.

But what really impressed me was after the actual movie when I watched the making of featurettes. The entire movie was filmed in from of a blue screen! I could barely believe it. The entire movie was filmed in one room.

Crazy.

So anyone else see it? Opinions? Favorite parts?

Eh, I watched this last saturday. It was only suitable as a rental for me. Blue screen movies aren't too hard to do, you know. I've done them in my high school media class, actually. That and the storyline was really lacking. The best part was the very end. Lmao what an idiot.......

Anyway, if you like it fine have a blast....but for me, simply a rental. Wasn't bad, wasn't good enough. Eh.......

The CG I thought was amazing, just not enough there to keep me interested. Parts of it were boring and others were kinda lame and stale (especially the comedy). The plot wasn't solid enough either, and if you really think hard about it, it didn't make a whole lot of sense.

But the CG was good. :D

Definately a ground-rule rental. ^^

I watched some of it. *Shrugs.* I bought the DVD, but I'd never seen it before then - I just prefer to buy new DVDs. But yeah, it seemed like an okay movie. I probably watched about half of it, I may try to watch the second half soon. I found the fact that it was all filmed in front of a blue screen interesting, too - the effects were really pretty good. It was a good movie, from what I saw of it, overall, though. ^_^

I saw it in the theater. But I had to leave because the weird lighting effects were giving me a head ache! Ah well, maybe I'll rent it sometime.
