- I've been around a fair few music discussions in my time in school and work etc. People were generally fans of either Abba or Queen.. there was usually no middle ground.. What's it for you??
Both huge huge HUGE (no I didn't stutter) bands so which was/is your favourite of the two? |

How can you compare ABBA to Queen? ABBA sucked balls. Sappy little songs compared to legends?
There's only no middle ground because ABBA fans have no good taste. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Ok!! So we know Fallen's opinion
I, too, prefer Queen by a long shot. |

Good, I was afraid that last message was a little too vague. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Never heard of Abba so I went with Queen. I think if I did hear Abba I would still choose Queen because a band would have to be really, really, really amazing to be better than Queen.
Random note. I had to write what my most dissapointing moment was for history and I wrote about how I found out that Freddy Mercury was dead (found out about six months ago. I was so sad. And from A.I.Ds too. ) Music lost a wonderful voice...what was it? Ten years ago?

Indeed...I don't listen to Queen very often, but their quality transcends Abba's by such a huge amount that it really becomes hard to bring them into comparison.
Queen, every time. |

I think a better comparison would have been The Smiths and Queen. This poll is OBVIOUSLY one-sided. That's like saying which is better; God or Allah....well, maybe not, but you see where I was going with that analogy.
I say Queen, because ABBA makes my brain hemorrhage.

Psssschh.. We all know my God would pwn your God
And yeah.. like I said, it's not the skill or the musical harmony.. it's about your personal preferance. I see now many of the younger generation prefer the melodic symphonies of Queen's guitaring and poetic vocal work rather than Abba's strained voices ^_^
Good good.. |

......wait a minute...you're a..dare I say it, muslim?! May my God be with you, you poor misguided soul.
Bohemian Rhapsody alone beats ANYTHING ABBA ever came out with. |

I don't believe I like you.
I love Queen. Their songs tend to get stuck in my head. ^_^ |

I vote Queen. Because "dancing queen" just rakes my nerves. Plus, Queen just plain rocks. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

I just bought a new karaoke CD for my friend's birthday on Friday (you have no idea how hard it is to get her one she doesn't already have  ), and it has Bohemian Rhapsody on it.

Well if you can make it here by Friday.
So much fun. And she replaced her broken mic, so it'll stop randomly disconnecting and cutting out. Woo. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Hey, where the hell do you find that CD? My idiot friend, Larry, is a nutmeg when it comes to sing-alongs. Did you find it on eBay, or Amazon? and what time is this party on Friday...I may swing by!! |
