valentines day ...the one day of the year when i am actaully a bitter b**ch( hard to beleive i know but its true )

so what are are people planning on doing this year ??? any romantic gestures :wub: ???
dumping your partner and crushing their little heart ????

me..im gonna stay hidden under my bed all day. and i'll kill any one who dares appproach me with a card....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I've got an appointment with an IV and a uncomfortable chair at the hospital for 3 hours of IV infusion happiness on Monday. It's not quite Chemo, but damn close in my book. So, yeah I get to be sick on Valentines Day. Not that it would matter, my lover doesn't do anything special to mark the occassion anyway, so it's just going to be a whole other day for me.

it amy seem harsh but every year i get a blasted card with a god damn question mark and its really pissin me off , this year im camping out to see who it is !!

Just another day.I'll just give a few friends some cards and have a normal day.I never really got why one day out of the year you show people you care with nice little gifts and cards.Should be all year round IMO Smile

there is a historic story behind it , i think it was sumthin like people had to get permission from the king to get married , so the priest let people get married in secret , but they were caught on the 14th of february , or something along those lines.

Thing about V-day is, in theory I wouldn't care if people wanted to give gifts on that day. Same thing as Christmas or any of those when it comes to doing something that's far more commercial than the holiday itself. It's the sheer lack of any originality or thought that goes into most of it. Wow, you spent a whole 30 seconds grabbing some 50% off flowers as you were at the store buying a pack of gum and the latest issue of Maxim. I'm touched. Rolling eyes

Besides, flowers are pretty for a few days, and then they die. How romantic (though perhaps how appropriate, given the nature of most relationships...sorry, my cynicism is showing). Get something the person actually [i]wants[/i] and could use.

But then, that's just me. If your girl orgasms at the sight of roses... Rolling eyes

I'm trying to celebrate Valentine's day today. My boyfriend's friend is being a bit on the SLOW side, so we're waiting for him to get ready. I like getting gifts on Valentine's day, even if it is a stupid commercial holiday.

i guess it could be a nice holiday , if people put a bit of thought into it !!! id have to agree with fallen , wheres the thought in a bunch of half price flowers or a 2.50 card with taky hearts and bears plastered over it ?? and you only get that if your boyfriend (or whatever) actually remembers that it is v.day and has a chance to stop off at the nearest shop or garage . !!!
