Who is Stryper anyways?
A "rock" band from the 80s that dressed in stupid black and yellow spandex, wrote "good, pure songs", and threw Bibles into the audience.

Insulted the name hair band. . . . .

They're all pretty dire, but out of that list, it'd be "Rock".

That rock/rap hybrid won't last. Its been tried before with Aerosmith and some other rap group that I can't remember but if anything its another pop rock fad. . . . . The day Linkin Park writes a song that isn't depressing as hell then maybe I would consider liking them...or not. Laughing

But to each his own, I suppose. Rolling eyes

Their shows were fun to watch though. I mean they had all these banners saying "DOWN WITH 666!" or "DON'T DO DR*GS!" As a rock fan it was just hysterical.

Bleh, they can suck my metaphorical balls. Hate them. Hate hate hate hate hate. If they want to write crappy songs, fine, but don't spend all your time acting better than every other band because "we don't talk about drugs, or sex, or the devil, or swear, or drinking, or blah blah blah". Good for you. Now shut the fuck up about it. Grr!

They're just funny in the ironic sense to me. Should've been more specific. I mean when you don't talk about the three major...um...things (I suck at finding good words to use tonight) of all that is rock unholy then you really aren't rock. But all that spandex kinda promotes s*xuality so technically speaking they were hypocrits too. Technically speaking that is.

Heh, nothing sexual about their spandex. *nausea*

God should have told them it's scary.

I hate them too much to find them funny.

Christian and rock should never mix. Simple as that. Watching people waiting in line for tickets to their show (some special on VH1) reminded me of the people who protest against Axl Rose for that One in a Million song. Its probably the same people too. Laughing

But yeah, lets keep Jesus and rock and roll at least thirty yards aparts thank you. And that goes the same with rap and rock and roll. Stay away from the rock music. Rolling eyes

They can beg all they want, but they're still not getting in the club. Grr!

And I could go into a long, drawn out explanation of why, but you're obviously set on your opinion and don't care. But let's just say, "rock" is not all about the style of music. There's a lot of attitude and meaning that goes into it as well that isn't present in Christian music. But whatever...

I know some people like that. In fact, I have a good friend who's a white gansta-wannabe. Very Happy How did we become friends? I don't really know. I think its God's idea of a joke. Rock girl and the white gansta-wannabe. Match made in hell, I think. Laughing We don't talk about music that much. Last time we did talk about rock and rap we argued over who was better (Axl Rose or Eminem?) And I got so mad at him that I whiped him with my studded bracelet and then he switch my GnR CD with an Eminem CD so all I had to listen to for the evening was Eminem's new album (my little brother was so jealous of me ironically. Rolling eyes )

I can say with full honesty that I've never heard of those bands before. But y'know, if you think they're bitchin' then go ahead and believe they're bitchin'. I won't stop you. Very Happy Everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Personally, I do agree with fallen. Attitude and style is also a big factor in rock. Thats why even non-Christian rock groups today aren't as good as rock bands in the 80s and 70s. There's no real attitude and if there is then its all overdone and overproduced. . . . .

But this all merely my opinion. Take it however you will. Cool

I like to think of Eminem as the Marylin Manson of hip hop. Attention-whoring bitches, both of them. Its all about the shock factor to him and it gets real old real quick. <_< And I have seen that new video of his more times that I would've cared to see. *Shrugs* Its another one of those annoying songs that will play ten times at a club or until you get a massive headache from it. Whichever comes first...

:EDIT:

*Gasp!* I can say whore! I can say whore and my computer won't censor it! Very Happy Happy, happy day! Laughing And yet...I can't really understand why I can say whore but not p*ssy. Especially if I'm referring to a kitty cat... Rolling eyes
