I was sitting at home, watching the news since I've been struck down with the flu and can't go to school when I suddenly hear bugs bunny and the rest of the gang have been 'updated' to fit the modern era.

And what do my eyes behold?

A gothified, Exorcist rabbit who looks like he's been on the bad end of a Hot Topic shopping spree. Not that I have anything against the aformentioned genres, but this is LOONEY TOONS we're talking about.

Has Warner Bros. gone insane? Or just using this as a publicity stunt? |

				 Do you have a picture?

but it seems as though warner bros might be trying to apply to the gothic audience, or it could just be a joke or publicity stunt as you said |

				| Okay, so warner bros sold out their precious relics to the monster of marketing. They sold their soul to some new guy in a suit with a briefcase telling them to change everything that was them so they appeal to a new audience. |

That doesn't seem very punk/goth to me. No more than Batman can be considered punk/goth, which is obviously where the creators were headed with this.

This isn't goth/punk compaired to anything. They are just going the same direction of Batman or other darKer superheroes. Trying to give them a "badd-ass" effect, but I really can't imagine any appeal this show would have. _________________

For the last time, get this idea out of your head that they are trying to market this to goth/punks. As I said, the redesign is an attempt to capture the flavor of Batman and other darker superheros, an attempt to give the characters a bad ass appeal. _________________

Still, point is, whether it's marketed for a goth/punk audiance or not, they're giving Looney Tunes a darker edge. Looney Tunes. Now with Batman, he originally started out a dark superhero and was turned into a hokey, fun loving father figure. But Wile E. Coyote? A crime fighter? Come on. That's just selling out to the majority now. |

I think it could do well as being a darker individual seems to be increasing in popularity.. I mean Michael Jackson started it off with his saying that 'bad' was good.. but.. meh I might like it.. Who know, you might too..

Give it a chance instead of binning it before you've seen it..

And yeah, Will, it's not goth, it's just dark. It might appeal to angsty teens more, but thet's the image I guess. |

Well, Duck Dodgers was just a spin off from the old cartoons (which were making fun of Buck Rodgers), so it wasn't that far of a stretch, and they really didn't change anything from the original.

This, on the other hand, is setting up to be a travesty in motion. _________________
