I've heard a handful of their songs. Can't really name them. I only know them 'cuz I have a friend who thinks they're pretty bitchin'. They're not bad. I actually like them. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

*nods* ah, friends always seem to get people into so many new genres of music. I'm not much of a music junkie, so i'm kinda duh about tha stuff, but my friend has recently gotten me into a lot of small time bands. ^_^ It's really kewl.

Battle of the Bands coming up in a week. Crapload of small time local bands. I can't wait to go. I find some of the local bands a hell of a lot better than most of these newer pop rock bands. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

The Vines are pretty famous. I've heard of the Pixies, can't say I like 'em that well, though.
All of these have achieved some sort of cult status, but aren't really all that famous:
Enter The Haggis (possibly the least famous of this list--and one of the best, IMO..Craig Downie is my Idol)
Oysterband
The Levellers
Gaelic Storm
The Young Dubliners
Seven Nations
and many many more... _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

the pixies are pretty well known, i've always thought. not huge or anything. they're amazing. wish i could've seen them on the reunion tour. and i'm hoping for a new album!
umm unknown musicians... god too many. some of my favourites:
metric
new pornographers
harvey danger (well they did have one hit song, but no one knows who sings it)
mates of state (eee i'm seeing them in april! ack!)
the raincoats
sleater-kinney
the reunion show
breaker! breaker!
mclusky
john vanderslice
broken social scene
well i guess some of them are better known in like "indie" circles or whatever you'd call it _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Hmm.... There's a local band here called "driven under". I like them. And another one that I like called "the band you're about to hear". My firend claims the bass player, Jake's voice gives her orgasms. _________________ <MARQUEE>
