Losing Friends

I'm not sure where to put this, maybe unmoderated for future posts but for now I think it fits well.

So have any of you ever lost a best friend? I'm pretty sure everyone has. What happened to you guys and what were the reasons? I just lost one last night because of other peoples opinions. I'm curious and want to ever seek advice on this topic

i lost a friend today. She was filled with lies, but yah i lost a friend :(

i threw a bread stick at a tree...the tree fell over. i lost a tree friend....

Well, my best friend in junior high who was always copying eerything I did... she even showed up to choir practices, shows and auditions that she wasn't even invited to, just so you should copy me. So one day I just blew up at her and told her to quit copying me. She said, "Oh, me copying you? That's a laugh!" and I threw something at her and stormed out of the cafeteria.

We got back together a year later, but under odd circumstances, and our friendship was never the same. Now she's moved. I suppose I'll miss her, but, yeah...

I'm currently not speaking to a friend. Been not speaking to them for about a week, and I haven't had ANY anger breakdowns and my hair is shinier! ^_^ I have more energy and less paranoia, but more Paranoid energy! Nyah. .This friend was more of an argument instigater.. It's just easier ignoring them!

How come I never see people use the [u]underline[/u] button in posts?

i've lost two but i'm already immune
i've lost four due to lies but then again i found out who my friends really are

life likes to slap you but you soon roll with the hits so it doesn't hurt as much

Unlucky circumstances seem to be breaking up my relationship with my best friend. Sad

We both tried out for this winter play and while none of us got in, she was able to stay after school to do prop work 'n such but due to school problems I couldn't join her. Lately it just seems like she'll ditch me to hang out with all the Thespian kids instead of her best friend (if I'm still that... <_< )

Ironic that I found this thread. Tonight is opening night for the play and she told me that she would stay home so I can talk to her on the phone. But I've called her three times and she never came home. And she even got out of going over my house today 'cuz she said it was so important for her to go home with her other friend from the theater. Grr!

I feel very alone right now. I hate to sound like an angsty bitch but its true. Sad

Its like she doesn't want to hang out with me anymore.

I lost a lot of friends. They all died in the major war that occured here on our soil. Sad

i lost my two best friends in 7th and 8th grade. my one friend was great but he wanted to be "popular" so he pretty much ditched me and my other best friend for a more "popular" group. we kind of blew it out of proportion i guess. then she (my other best friend) ended up hating me and joined the other group of kids. so um. yea. losing friends completely and horribly sucks.

but for my 16th birthday she wrote a letter apologizing and we still talk sometimes. we're not best friends or anything but it's better than nothing. hope that's consolation for you. give it time and you'll hopefully make up with your friend

I dunno. I had some friends who my mom thought were great. Polite, nice, yadda yadda, but I didn't really like them. So in a way, I guess they were my mom's friends. But I have new friends now. ^_^

I've lost about 3. In 5th and 7th grade. I leave when my feelings get hurt too much. I don't like to talk to them about it first. I can leave with no strings attached. I don't really miss them till a couple years later. I suppose I'm too dramatic "overreactive" and sensitive to have friends for a long period of time. Sad

I lost old school friends who really *weren't* friends in most respects, but they were people I'd talk to.. acquiantances if you will ;)

Then I had 2ndary school.. There is a few girls I miss now because I didn't have the guts to ask thier phone numbers n s**t Rolling eyes

...I'll miss the dudes from work if/when I go.. They're good people but I mean it's only down the road so I guess I could see em.. but.. when if they move away Surprised

In that respect I haven't actually LOST anyone but it would be better if they were in contact.. :/

Got completely betrayed by my best friend of eight years, then she went to join the 'popular' group! My 'best' friend now is also in danger of losing me if she carries on the way she is at the moment.

Life lesson: Don't have a best friend, just good friends, and lots of them.
