Hello out there you freakin' RPG Fans! Hahaha, just jokin'! I love RPGs! Well anyways, I have a question for you. Have you ever heard of 'RPG Maker 2'? If you havn't let me explain what it is. It's basicly a game where you make your own game. And as hard as it is, it's actually very fun! You get to design the character models, enemy models, and create the cutscences and every thing. Although the graphics aren't the best in the world, just the idea of actually creating a game the way you want it is freakin' awesome. I don't care who you are.
Well, back to my question. If you have heard of it, or you have it. What do you think of it? I have had it for almost a year now, but just recently started working on it. Its pretty fun. I just wanted to know if anyone else out there plays it aswell. Please reply.

Well, I don't have one. But, I take gaming classes. I currently have made my own RPG game for PS2. I'm thinking along the lines of sending it to squarenix so they can see, but I'm not so sure... |

RPG Maker 2, like its original, isn't rightly a 'game', but rather a development suite. I've tinkered around with RPG Maker (#1) a little bit, discovered its limitations (fairly quick, actually), and haven't had need to toy with it since.
#2's a little hard to find, though.... _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I've heard of them, but I've messed around with the computer versions - RPG Maker 2000 and such. |

There's lots of rpg making games, i got one for the ps2..but i forgot its name, i will remember it later maybe, i think rpg maker 2? but the graphics, i didnt like it, and it takes time just to make something, but i didnt make anything until now, and i dont think i can, its very tiring x_x, I liked the old rpgmaker better...the 2D one..er i dont know *i think it was on snes*, but it was kinda easy, im not into rpg-making games.. i just like to mess a bit and make funny stuff with those games. |

You didn't actually think that making an RPG would be easy, did you?

I have never heard of it, but just thinking of making my own rpg makes me go crazy!!
Yay, the TV's playing a Simple Plan song!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!
Hey, Jojo, I luv Symphonia too!!! _________________ It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:
Song: Seize the Day by Default
Anime: D.Gray Man
Anime character(s): Kanda
Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault
OC: Ray Eclrida, copyright of me (duh!)

Hmm, I agree with Strata. Making an RPG isn't easy. And even though that RPG Maker 2 has like, really crappy graphics, I still enjoy that fact that I'm making the game. Its just totaly kudos doods. _________________ "You can quote me on that." - Gray |

I've around with it a few times, but I kind of stopped after a while. I guess it's b/c I knew exactly what I wanted for my game (battle system, weapons, etc.) it's is pretty fun whe nyour just fooling around with it though. ^_^ I've got a question for silentsoul92, now. what gaming classes are you taking & where? just curious, I'd like to get into game developing myself, but right now I highly doubt I have the art skills or computer knowledge to do it. |
