Losing Friends

I think its GOOD to have a best friend. I personally had two awhile ago and one that is lasting 2 years and going (my longest friendship in awhile because usually they get sick of me or decided they need new friends because im so clingy to just ONE person) and the other one I "lost" i had been best friends with for months and already got close to her. I don't know a best friend is someone that you have been with through thick and thin, somone you trust your life with in their hands and would do what ever you could to bring a smile upon their face.

Sounds like you've had better experiences then me. Unfortunately, all of the best friends I've had ended up hurting me.

I had a friend like that, but she let me down too, in the end. But ignore me, if you've had better experiences than me, it's better to ignore my gloom! Very Happy

i go through life and have a ton of good friends. acctually i go through groups... popular, nerdie, anime addicted...i like the last one so i think ill stay there

I never really got on with people, and it seemed as though no matter how hard i tried it always seemed as though i never fitted in.
I dont let it get me down, its not my fault.

Its good to have alot of different friends or groups of friends, that way you can see what kind of people you have more in common and appreciate hanging out with more.

And to Aurora I'm sorry to hear you have had bad experiences with people in your past or present but you just need to keep a positive attitude, eventually you will find someone that appreciates you and would never want to hurt you. Not everyone means to hurt in this world just remember that ^_^ *hugs* 0_o

I never lose friends. I've got two or three people I consider friends and we don't let bullshit affect our friendship. We're f**king brothers.

Everyone else is an acquaintance and won't get much more than an, "oh, well," if they were to leave.

Actually, you have to move on. Dwelling on things does not make you feel any better. How would you know they weren't good friends? Just because she knows that you can't dwell on death?

I've lost a close friend of mine. We grew apart and when she moved, we just stopped talking. It's kind of sad because she was into drugs and stuff and I was trying to help her get out of it, 'cept it wasn't quite working :/

You guys, as soon as I went to a new school as in up a grade, lol all my (trader) freinds (girls) thought they were so cool and said they were (going out) with boys not really they are only like with them at school, and they all abandoned me, (that is why i hate like 75% of girls) and the boys, that is a different story, there is only like 10 boys in my grade i dont know or am not friends with, lol and like 50girls the same. haha but some are okay, anyways I lose freinds all the time, especially if they GO AGAINST YOU AND THROW ICE BALLS AT YOUR FACE!!! sorry, he wasn't my friend anyway, maybe in like 1st or 2nd grade though Razz

But I completely agree with you Kate, Its not best to dwell on that. Sure you should have your time to morn but if it lasts a year its just time to try and move on and be happy again.

i lost a best friend when i was about 12 or 13. we used to do everything together. i mean we'd have little best friend tifs, but noting serious, untill popularitly came knocking at her door. it was a choice she had to make. ditch me so she could hang with the cool crowd or stay with me and the regular croud. i tryed to talk her out of it, cause this "cool crowd" was so totally bad news. we had a fight about it and she dumped me as a friend Sad

since then she had a baby at a young age. i know this cause her sister and my sister a friends. but thats how i lost my best friend. popularitly <_<

I lost my best friend last year. She started acting all weird, started telling lies about me, took everything I did the wrong way, began acting jealous of some stuff, then decided she hated me. It hurt at first, but I got over it. Appariently, she hasn't as certain mutual friends tell me she's still obsessing over how much she hates me. >>She was abusive, anyways.

And there was this one girl, who just kept whining about not having a boyfriend at every moment of her life, infront of several of us who'd never had a boyfriend to begin with. Then she starts dating one of our friends... and cheats on him. Then she dates another friend... and cheats on him...
