soooo..whos ur favorite? mine's Luna. she's just so weird....and yet she couldnt care less. my hatest is obviously umbridge...but after her is HARRY! he was sooo self-centered, feisty, and selfish in the 5th book. -.-

Mine's Sirius...though I think reading the book at 3:00 AM was a bad idea, it was so ingrained in my head I shrieked/yelled/complained about the death in the book for three days straight....

yea i also cried when sirius *spoiler for any1 who hasnt read it* died. i mean....sirius is one of the good characters in hp...WHY DID SHE, ROWLING, HAVE TO TAKE SIRIUS OUT OF THE SERIES?!?! oh well. it's all gonna be explained anyway on the 6th and 7th books. V____V

I think Harry is being prepared by J.K. emotionally with all this hatred within him and such so he can defeat Voldy at the end...

As I've said many times, I think that Sirius will come back. I have a feeling he'll either be a ghost or he'll have never been killed in the first place. By making everyone believe a well-loved character has died (a character that is supposed to pretty much save Harry from his 'family'), and telling readers the reason he's dead or whatever will be explained more in future books, she can cause her sales to go up a lot. I have a feeling she'll write more books, too. Money's a powerful thing... By saying she won't write anymore, THEN coming out with an 'after Hogwart's" view of Harry's life, she'd sell tons.

Anyway, my favorite character was Sirius. He was funny and just plain awesome :wub: I wish J.K. would write a series with just Sirius, James, Remus, and Lily ;( I hate Peter, but I guess he'd have to be in it, too.

Oh yeah, and I didn't like Luna. Her character just kind of bugged me... She seemed like a character you'd find in a fanfic, not in one of J.K.'s books.

uuh kate sorry to break it to ya...but i dont think sirius is ever gonna come back. i also like him...but ive read a couple of interviews on line with j.k. rowling...and she says she has a GOOD REASON why shell never bring him back. not even as a GHOST. if u dont trust me. research it online. mugglenet might help?

I didnt think Sirius would die when i heard that one of the characters would be killed off, she threw me off abit cause of mr weasly being attacked. I bet JK made everyone love sirius so that when she killed him (probably laughed while she was writing) our tears and pain could be used in the potion for world domination... of course im guessing all this.

Check her website. She clearly states that he won't be back. That yes, he is, indeed, dead and no he won't be a ghost. They say in the book, too, that he won't be a ghost even though that would be awesome...

GRAAAAAAAAAY, SHHHH, Let me pretend. I'll be sad if I don't... Atleast Remus is still alive. I absolutely adore Remus, Sirius, and James (even though he isn't alive at all in the story). Hopefully SOMEONE helps out Harry in book 6. I like how the characters are beginning to mature, too. It makes the books more fun to read.

my friend used to be a MAJOR draco fangirl. like, super draco fangirl.

notice wat rowling's doin to her characters:
1) she starts off as sirius looking bad..but then hes really a good guy..and soo the readers love him now. but then..she suddenly kills him. making the readers mad, shocked, sad, surprised, etc.
2) we start out with a very dorky-being bullied harry potter...then he's now the popular celebrity hero. then in the 5th book, the ministry insults him in the newspaper..not only that, but rowling DID make you look at harry in another perspective as: annoying, mean and inconsiderate and selfcentered in the 5th one..
3) neville used to be shy and all that...now hes all: yea! i shall help you harry! i will be brave and help u get the bloody prophecy!
4) ministry> past: good to harry> now: bad to harry

i had to vote fred and george , if only we could pull pranks like that in real life .... i cried when sirius died , but i think she killed him off for a reason , im not sure what the reason is but i doubt she would kill the only adult figure harry has known after just three books without a reason , perhaps she is planning on doing something in the 6th book wich relies on his death .....thats just a shot in the dark......erm....any one else got any other ideas about his death ??

Luna's my favorite... and I bet members of the DA will stick up for her later on... as for the sirius factor (I like to call him the Adorible Grim) I think she's killing of the Mauraders, maybe the remaining two in one blow... anyone one care to hear the theroy?

I'd love to hear the theory. I'll be very sad if she kills them off but I guess I can kind of see where she's going with it. After all, it's her book and her vision, not mine.
