What Feature Should I Add To FAC Next?

I'd love to have the possibility to change my username, I'm sure others think that as well... plus as mentioned before, to see which poeple who has added you to fav artist

An idea for something to put on the Site Stats page just came to me. I notice the # of daily submissions seems to be climbing higher, in the 300-400 range, when months ago it'd generally be in the 200-300 range. How about an item for the highest (and lowest) number of submissions in a given day? Calculated/cached at the end of each day, of course. I wonder what the record is....

I went for #4. Because I don't use chatrooms (just seems like kid stuff nowadays), only IM and email. Don't fully understand #2 and #3 (or maybe just don't care to try). And #5, well, to phraise someone else who left a comment on this thread (don't remember who, too lazy to go back and check) "scary". Indeed, little things seem nice, but even with that, wouldn't you mods have to download all the programs, movies, etc. submitted to see for yourself and approve it??? Hmmm, good point or what??? I mean, I wanted to create a FAC desktop theme and add it to my section for other members, I like little things like that, but music and movies doesn't seem worth the trouble. Consider the count of members who will actually submit that stuff (I really have no idea), will it be worth it either way? Stuff like WMP skins and screensavers sound cool, but I'd never take the time to download a program without any professional reviews on it. Who knows [i]what[/i] it would do to my computer! (<-has just had his last computer break down on him from downloading crappy crap that didn't have any user reviews! and had to spend a MONTH without precious internet companionship, So may be a tad paranoid about such things). Little various interface improvements yada yada yada sounds best of those choices. I loved it when this site got it's 'extreme makeover' a couple months ago...or whenever it was, and I didn't want it to stop. BTW, is that when all this 'new site improvements' thingy started? Am I talking too much, or typing too loud? I'd better go, gettin dizzy...

I agree with Lexar and Stratadrake on the sort and list options for artist galleries. That's something I'd like to be able to have more control over.

And knowing who put you on their favorites list would be nice too. Wink

I'd like other file types to be accepted or maybe even a conjoined-twin site. Not so much a sister site but something very closely intertwined where Flash movies can be posted, tutorials, etc?

Not something that would happen soon as it'd cost alot in bandwidth but it'd be something I'd like to see here.

A conjoined twin site (and maybe a conjoined-tripplet site) is planned but I won't give any details about it yet.

I accept the 3 main internet image types and flash animations, I dont know what else there is worth accepting. bmp is too big to be practical, would usually time out because its too big. same with stuff like psd.

I considered music video support. but besides being impractical due to size, there is already an good site for that.

FAC has tutorial support in its own category and in the forums. More along the lines of tutorials may be comming in a few months.

id love to see a manga catagory added but technicly thats not a feature so what about a fac chat type thing like they have or had (havent been there for a long time) on shadowmere.com. id also love to see a member reveiws or articals section like reviews walkthroughs funny things etc that members can write up and post and poeple can read and say thats interesting i never noticed that or something. also though its not a feature id love to see more animes etc added im saddened by the absence of a slient mobius section. and what about like a put your favorite song and like people can listen to it when viewing you profile or preview it or something like that i think that would be cool and give people a better idea of you.

1. Manga was combined with anime because most anime is based on manga making them seporately listed redundant.

If you mean a category to post your own comics/doujin/manga, there is one somewhere and I have some plans on improving support for such content in the future.

2. I also have plans on articles and such on the main site sometime in the future, but for now, such things can just be done here in the forums.

3. There is a link at the bottom of each category so suggest a new subcategory. You can request one there and it will probebly be added within days.

4. Music in profiles is often annoying and caused problems so had to be removed.

Maybe a way to link certain images to an easy, fast interface for user's comics... Like you know, series' of comics/images, groups of images etc.. There should be user-set-up easy navigation between those certain, selected pics.. ^_^
