It really depends on the class. I HAVE to take notes in precalculus and physics, cause the less you know, the more likely the chance of failing.
With American history, not so much. I really end up falling asleep sometimes.
English is half and half. I have done sketches in the middle of class. |

I've been drawing in class since like third grade. It's what gets me through school. I used to get in trouble for it in middle school, but high school teacher's don't seem to care. At all. About anything. But anyway...my grades are excellent, even in the roughest classes we have, so they've really got no reason to complain. They do frown on people playing calculator games though...
There has been a theory put forth, since it's fairly obvious that I spend most of my time drawing, that my notes are actually contained within said drawings, and I can study and pick up all the knowledge before the test just by looking back over the drawings. I doubt this has much truth to it, but it's an interesting theory to say the least, and may merit further study. |

You can study your drawings of Inu-yasha to get good grades at calculus or Shakespeare?
I doubt it. |

I really wish. It's just...no one notices I actually take notes. Sometimes. The rest I just absorb....the drawing goes on completely outside my mental processes. |

Well Zak is right thats what i do (not that often though) it is a good way to study because you listen more when you draw and you draw things on what you here it is true i draw in lesson and i do really well (i think) and i'm in year 11 now so i'm nearing my end but i'm going to go to college (hopefully *fingers crossed* cross your fingers for me please ^_^ ) i'm coming back on track after being out of school for like 2 years (years 8 and 9 were a bad time for me home problems) but i'm doing a bit better than some people in my classes so thats why i think of my-self as a bit smart and i like my drawings but i've droped my French and German, humanities and geography but i don't have to take any notes for any of my classes LOL but i do sometimes so what years are you lot in then??????? But remember School might be boring BUT at least go for the friends and the grades.... _________________ No matter what happens, even if you become the world's enemy,I'll be your knight.- Squall-Final Fantasy VIII

I hate my school. Period. I ace all my classes, since they're so easy and so I get bored and doodle and sketch alot. Either that or I write funny little fics or read my mangas that I carry around. |

I'm a mega-nerd I don't take notes, having also been blessed with a good memory, but I have the courtesy to pay attention Since my school work wasn't challenging me, I loaded myself down with two Distinguished Achievment research projects that take 5 months to complete altogether :/ mostly because I'm against the Advanced Placement system.
My school works on a 6.0 scale. My newspaper class is a 4.0 class, so knowing that I could not possibly be #1, I ridicule the system periodically in the newspaper And starting next year, they will apparently be going to a 5.0 system, at least, getting rid of the middle Honors classes.
But yeah, I figure I'll learn what I can when I have spare time because it always helps somewhere =) I just learn easier on my own than with a bunch of people making lame jokes. I appreciate anyone willing to use their time wisely in what they enjoy ^.^ Fight the system! You DO get results! |

that's assuming she's a really smart senior or a rediculously f**king smart junior...
she's only a freshman. :/ i doubt she can continue what she does through her junior/senior years. |

Ok, I take back a little of what I said. Anyone who likes that lousy anime cannot truly appreciate Shakespeare's majesty :/ by any means. They just say they do to seem intellectual. I knew a senior last year who collected Yugio cards. I felt sick. Then I went home and made my little brother throw them away before he lost any more brain cells. End of story.
I'm not sure if that's what anyone was even getting at, but I thought it was important to bring up.
Edit: I see this was not the point made but my part is still valid. In any case. Anyone who like sInu Yasha would fail calculus miserably no matter how hard they stared at their picture :/ |

*sigh* don't get me started on school. I'm don't like to, but I always take notes and pay attention and stuff, only because my teachers are like, homework maniacs. We speed through a chapter every 3 days. The longest we ever spent was a week. And that's just for math. I don't know how fast everything else travels. Why'd I have to go and skip grades? |

Crap, clicked the wrong button.
Anyway, I draw and listen to music during class, and still do really well on tests and such.
But I have a terrible memory....
I am best in English ^_^ .
