Fac's Origin

So, this just randomly sparked my interest earlier today.

Why did Denis decide to make "Fanart-Central"?

It's been a LOT of work and a lot of changes the past few years. He's had to deal with a lot of different kinds of people (good and bad) as well as different kinds of problems (moral and technical).

So, what started him on this long journey? ^_^

BEFORE he answers himself (if he does, that is) I want to hear your theories!
What do you think made it all worth it in the end for our "Evil Overlord"?

There is various info around regarding the site's origins. I'll refrain from explaining more for a while by Raymei's request.

Of course she know more about the site's history than most being a long time member and having interviewed me on the subject almost a year ago.

but the forum seemed kind of stale to me (wanted to get people to be creative and whatnot lol )

I have been here for almost 6 months and i always asked myself:
"Why does this guy denis waste his time to make a webpage like this one? ITS COMPLETELY FREE! he doesnt sell anything... but oh well who cares im going to post my pic..."
And the worst thing is that i still just post my pix and still dont know...

Wow. That's... pretty darn amazing. And kinda odd, when you consider it's now predominantly anime. Go figure.

Still, I gotta give a big "Thank you!" to Denis for doing this. It's nice to have a fun, free fanart archive.

meh, this is so true. T_T the anime and unmoderated sections see way more action

probably why the FAC nominations weren't as populated as we wanted.

By anyway, congratulations to Cstdenis for the successful site. I've enjoyed being here for the 5 months I've been here and I don't think that there's any other site of this kind that I'd have been this satisfied with.
