I was just thinking about movies that I have seen way too much. The first movie I became obsessed with when I was about 14 or 15 was Romeo&Juliet. The one with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. I saw it in the theater twice. And once I got it on video watched it every damn day until I got Basketball Diaries. When I got Basketball diaries I counted how many times I would watch it. In a period of about two months I watched it over 35 times and then I stopped counting. I saw it on tv the other day.........couldn't sit through ten minutes of it. Then came Titanic. I saw it in the theater 13 times. I have every ticket stub saved somewhere at my parents house. Then I got the movie at midnight on it's release date. Have no clue how much I watched the piece of crap......way too much.. having to change the cassette everytime it got halfway through. No dvds back then... well no dvd player at least for me I would have to say that out of them all I probably watched Basketball Diaries the most. And the only one that I wanna watch again is Romeo&Juliet. Only because I havn't seen it for so long.

I've watched 10 Things I Hate About You a million times. I used to know all of the lines, all of the lyrics to the songs, everything. I was like that with the Wizard of Oz when I was younger, too. OH, another movie I loved and watched over and over was The Butterfly Effect. Infact, I'm so totally going to watch that movie during one of my movie watching days this week. |

Hahaha. Funny....
Anyway, Garden State is up there for me. Though I always watch it at bedtime.... So I've only really seen it all the way through twice.
Office Space I've seen WAY too many times. I watched that almost every day a couple summers ago. |

Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have no idea how many times I've seen it, but I can recite it from memory.

Yeah.. I was a Titanic freak... a Leonardo Dicaprio freak. My room was full of his pictures. My walls were completley covered... so I didn't have any more space for his pics.. so I taped them all to my ceiling... then ran out of ceiling space.. so I would hang his pictures from string from my ceiling.. so when you would walk into my room you would get like paper cuts and such from Leo pics... I was a gross obsessed teen girl. I think that lasted for two years. _________________ |

When I was younger every weekend my family would rent movies.. like 7 old movies for $5 or something. So I would choose the horror movies. Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Hellraiser and Puppet Master were my favs. I think I rented Nightmare on Elmstreet 3 the most. Mostly I would get Full Moon movies.. like Demonic Toys. I want to get that DVD now.. but can't find it. I want the Hellraiser figures... My favorite Hellraiser was Hellraiser 3. Even though it's format was different from the first two.. and not liked by a lot of people.. blah blah. I liked Pinheads stupid speeches. _________________ |

Plunkett and Macleane
Chariots of Fire
The Python films
The Mask of Zorro
Shrek
Seen them all way too many time. I used to live in the middle of nowhere with a load of other youngish people, and it was great to pick a film and have an evening lounging around with people you barely knew.
Shrek was a universal safe choice. No matter what country the various people were from, they all knew Shrek. I think its recognition factor is only just under CocaCola.
Man I miss those days. |

When i was 10-12, I had this obsession with Gone with the Wind. Now, I can't stand it, but I must have seen it a billion times. The same goes for the three old Star Wars movies. I still like some of the older Disney movies. They're pretty funny- like when that stripper mouse in The Great Mouse Detective is singing about stripping, obviously- and all these little kids have no idea.
More recently Master and Commander
The Fellowship of the Ring I have seen the most out of the LotR trilogy- 1) because it was the best one and 2) because its great for muting and putting music on in the background. Nothing better than watching Lord Elrond sing like a Jamaican. NauticalNymph has so many weird cds. |
