My name is a super white first name vs. Hispanic last name. Personally, I don't like the either :/ I use my middle name for a pen name- or generally, I suppose I really will once I'm published

The worst part, though, is that mine doens't provide very good nicknames. Chel sounds... doof. The best I've got so far is 'Chel-of-the-sea,' courtesy of my Newspaper teacher.

Ideally, I'd rather my name be... heck, there [i]aren't[/i] any good girls' names, are there? :/ Pretty sexist, if you ask me.

i dont hate my name its just annoying when people keep getting it wrong! ive been called carrie, karli, car, k and sooo many others. my friends have got used to my name now but it is so annoying when we get a new teacher every year! every single one has gotten it wrong! for a whole year the teacher called me karl! :wacko:

no actually i hate the people who say my name wrong
like my names english
followed by a french name
and people usually get them both mixte up
like the say my first name Nicholas in french
and then they say Lamothe in english
or they just say it all in spanish
drives me nuts
or they just call me by my last name

Don't worry. You know genkai, first thing I thought when you told me your name so I could make your b-day pic (which a still haven't gotten up. Gomen ne ) was that Naska rhymes with Alaska. No idea why. :wacko: anyways, most of my friends call me by my nickname, Rita, or Resa. And, I'd tell you my real name but there are people guessing over at another thread and I don't want to give it away.

i like my first name alot, it's Kristel-Rae. It's a weird name, and that is why I like it. If my name was a normal 'Crystal', I would soooo change that. Not that it's a bad name, it's just that it's so....common.

my last name just sucks though. It's 'Alaimo', and most people pronounce it as 'a-lame-o'....it's really annoying xD I feel sorry for my mom. Her name is 'Luz', pronounced as 'lose', so when you say it, it sounds like 'Lose a lame-o' XXXD

The worst name ever has to be 'Ima Hog'. my history teacher said something about a governor's daughter having that name, and it's pronounced as 'I'm a hog'. Embarassing, lol!

You're right, there was this crazy 50-something year old woman named Lynda that babysitted in my neighborhood. I don't neccessarily hate my real name (It's Nicole, by the way), but it'd be cool to have a name like...Hotaru (it just sounds cool). Jhonen sounds cool too (once again, just because it sounds cool)

I remember this (true) story about these two twins, a boy and a girl. The girl's name was Female (fuh-mah-lee), and the boy's was Male (mah-lee). That's clever...There was also some kid named Asshole (Ah-sho-lee). (I'm HOPING that was a joke)
