Googlebot.

Oo; I just saw it and I was wondering what it was, it's not a member name cause you can't click on it. But I am not sure what the heck it is. Anyone care to explain?

The adverts at the top of these forums are run and paid n stuff by Google.

Google has a 'smart-advertising' system where a Googlebot visits the pages the adverts appear on, picks up on certain keywords on the pages and allocates advertisements accordingly. You'll see in the religion thread there are religious adverts at the top and such. Though googlebot will sometimes get the subject wrong, it's pretty accurate.

And no it doesn't belong in spam because it is a good question, not something like

"Does mooses make noise?" that would be spam.

Mooses make a sort of foghorn-ish sound.. It would be interesting to see how many naturistic fanatical websites actually have the calls of moose -_-

Male and female, mating calls, danger calls, warnings, fighting calls.. Interesting..

Actuallty, googlebot is just google's normal search engine spider.

The advertising spider is called "Google AdSense"
