The Unofficial Fac History Class

I got this idea from the Newbie Guide thread. I didn't want to go off topic there so I'm saving fallen the lecture and starting a new thread just for history lessons. ^_^

This will be a place for forum elders to exchange their knowlage of FAC history 'n such. They can tell of the best of times and the worst of times. There were laughter and there we're bitch fights galore. And the forum elders know all about it.

The point of this is for Newbies to learn from the past and not make the same mistakes as others and to take example from those who are more positive on FAC. ^_^

I would start a lesson right now but I'm no where near being an elder. I'll add in my little tidbits if I feel its nessisary. And Newbs, make sure to give some feedback too. Positive feedback is the greatest satisfaction of teaching.

Okay, pay attention. Time for a history lesson.

Logan really was some kid. No one terribly special. He just peeved off a lot of people here and tried to get the Newbies to go against the mods in a revolt or revolution or something along those lines. Obviously, it didn't bode well with the mods. His downfall occoured in the Confessions thread. He confessed that he once raped a girl but since this was in the general section it was inappropriate. He got reported a crapload of times by the people in that thread. Not sure if that was really the real reason why (I'm sure there was more to it than that) but I think spam was another big one of his. His ending card was always some random message in Caps. Annoyed the crap out of people too.

But all in all, he didn't last long. He made enemies real quick and paid for it. I'm actually looking foward to his return. It was quiet without him here. This place needs more controversy. Its more fun that way.

Logan's humor is asinine. I do like his art, though.

I have one thing to add, Sixx: Yes, Logan tried to spur a "rebellion", but it was nothing special and mostly ignored because of the rebellion of OS which had just come to a close. So, Logan's revolt went either unnoticed or was not taken seriously.

As for FAC History

um...The Approval Panel is only a year old. It was brought up in the forums and most people liked the idea. But once it was put into effect, everyone had a huge hissy fit that their image wasn't put up right away (at this point pictures weren't taking that long at all -- the AP team was pretty on the ball 24/7 except at like...3AM)


There was also a huge rush of art-thieves at the first time of the AP. Seemed like 1 out of every 10 users was caught stealing.

The View from FAC was actually thought up by Raymei almost a year ago. She started a thread to see if anyone was intersested in making a comic based off of FAC and to also gather some ideas. This sparked me to make my comic, and a few months later The View from FAC was born.
