Go down to the bottom of the category list under Anime/Manga, and you'll see a link that says 'add a sub category here.' It has to be approved first though.

Out of curiosity, what anime are you submitting?

You can request a new subcategory at any time, but only site staff will actually add them.

In the meantime, feel free to use the "Series Not Listed" option under the Anime/Manga category.

I used to let people add categories themselves, but it made such a mess I had to restrict it to requests and site helpers actually adding them
