I got the idea for this topic awhile ago when i was playing star ocean: till the end of time, I finally made it into 4D space, i dont want to spoil the suprise for people who haven't made it that far yet, so i'll just say this, what the hell was that all about?

so come on lets hear your most hated plot holes and twists

Hey, that part wasn't so bad...so the whole story got flipped flopped, I sitll liked it. Anyway, I like plot twists. THey give you a whole new adventure and perpective of the game. Like in Tales of Symphonia, it started out as one of those save the world games then wham! boy, that really knocks you for a spin.

... plot twit?

I can't afford many games these days, but I heard something about Star Ocean's ending being about breaking the fourth wall.... sounds pretty weird.

To me, plot twists are usually good. They can help give a breath of fresh air late in the game. Can't think of any good examples right now, though.

The characters acknowledge that they're in a video game and that you are controlling their every move?

Sounds pretty cool. Especially if the game ever asked you your name and so and so say, "Leo is the one controlling all of this???"

The final phone call from MGS2, it just screwed everything that you heard in the game.

Yeah!!! I salute plot twists! Makes the story longer. It provides even more problems for you to handle and consider. Though some twists are rather awkward, there really is a point in having something new in the story. I like plot twists that somehow pressure and annoy me a little.

.....Hmmm...maybe I should add some more in my own story....

Huh? What was that?

Sorry. My bad.
