This was inspired by a rant I made on a different forum regarding the Final Fantasy series, a rant which originates in an old PC demo of FF7 and a bad video card at the time. That's when I realized that it was just 3D characters running around on 2D-"painted" scenery, and when my then-love for the Final Fantasy series evaporated like a dream that you wake up from and can't remember.

Hence the Matrix-parody rant.

My friend, jangelo, once had a JL fanfic series going where Hawkgirl had a pet parakeet named "Hubert". Hubert was a... erm... attack parakeet. Yeah.

So when I got a parakeet, I named him Hubert at her suggestion. While he's not exactly an attack parakeet, I think the quote could still fit him. XD

Well...mine is mostly explained by my obsession with Vampire stuff. the first one is from van Helsing, in I [i]think[/i] the Bela Lugosi movie. The next three are from various Anne Rice novels, all said by Lestat. The one after that is at the very end of [i]The Wild Duck[/i], a play by Ibsen that I read for a class, and the last one is from 8 bit Theatre cause it makes me laugh. It's said by Fighter by the way.

I adore the last Lestat quote (The prince is never going to come...) cause it fits so well with my philosophy on life. What can I say, the glass is always half empty with me. Mostly I picked them cause they amuse me, but I try to put in some stuff that has meaning for me. I really ought to swap out some of the quotes...been there for awhile...
