Convention Costumes

Which events have you or would you like to go to where everyone dresses up as some character or another? Would you rather pretend you're from Babylon 5 or Middle Earth? Would you want to spend a day as Spider Man or a rock star?

never been to any but i like the renaissance festivals i sort of dress up for that

I love to cosplay. Its such a time consuming hobbie but if you work hard it pulls off so nicely. I have cosplayed what I think 3 times. Twice as Inuyasha and once as Lenne from FFX-2 This year I want to be chi from Chobits I think or make my own characters costume. Either way it will be very hard :wacko:

That's what I was getting at. ^_^ Harry Potter, LotR, Star Wars, Spiderman, etc... Seems a lot of people like dressing up for new movies.

I would love to try that just for the fun of making a costume and seeing how realistic I could get it, but I don't watch anime or read manga. Sad

Well I don't think it HAS to be from a manga or anime. I was a game character (video game) there are computer games too you can be all sorts of characters. Hell I count making your own characters costume considered cosplay.

Actually, I just dress up for little or no reason. Usually to take pics. There aren't many people in my area who dress up for anything, so I just do it to show to people on the interweb.

I love the renaissance festivals, and I'm going to the one in GA in april, and then the one in NC in like oct or when ever it is. I'm dressing up sorta like Anna from vanhelsing. lamish movie, but i liked her outfit. I also dressed up in my elven gown and cloak that i made for the LOTR rings premiers. i'm also planning to dress up as a dark jedi for the next star wars........

I never dress up me and my friends played cosplay without costumes.... but eventually we got really bored
