thanks Alex, I have to really get going with that picture. looks like the unfinnished version will be what I have to use as comp against Fallens pics of him...lol, oh well. but I will finnish it cause I know a few people on and off the net that want to see it finnished. I was going to ink the Peach and Zelda pic, but I have to many projects of the Angels I have to do. the Miki Lee is almost inked and has gotten some changes to her hair, knife, and abs. I have to do the other two girls to go with the two already done. I also have another of Toni and Mik that I may add CC and Iri too. it has been suggested for me to draw them ruff and tumble again, so these this year so far will be.
I like the girl above. if you dont mind a little cc on your pic theres a couple things I noticed before you may want to paint her. she needs an iris, and I cant tell if she has a really small nostril or none. this could be the distortions from jpgs on my monitor too. I cant wait to see color from you and please feel free to cc any of my works, although you usually do, and I appreciate the words like the small feet...I guess I purposely do that cause I like small feet. the only comment that a few artists have suggested that I ignore is that Miki Lees hips are to small. lol, believe me all women are not the same and asian womens hips (as much as anime artist make them look caucasion) are smaller, just as black womens are generally larger. its a fact of life that most comic artists dont understand...but its all good. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. i am working on a Mia from .hack....
i sat down one day and said... "i'm going to attempt it..."
unfortuantly it turned out terribly because it only took me 2 hours and everyone knows that in order for me to draw a decent picture i need all of eternity...
but i will submit Mia this month (march)... i'm also working on an aniamtion... form .hack//gift.. which should be easy... i think ^_^
my fan art is somewhat generic..... |

I think I've mentioned it before Bruce, but I really love how you've done Toni's top in that pic - the contours are delicious
My current WIP is this Thendle guy again, been working off and on for a few months, finally getting closer to finishing, perhaps 3-4 more hours work to go.
Then again, my computer obviously made it for me, so no actual talent or effort on my part.

thank you very much Naomi for the compilement on Toni's top. Im going to have a little work making the silken effect on Miki Lee's top here. I have begun the inking of Claudia and the pencil of Iri. the peice you are currently working on above looks to be like another of your masterworks. cant wait to see the finnished product.
Azzy that is a very impressive dragon too. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.' - Ronald Reagan |

I'm trying to come up with a poster. There's a chance I might get to go to a convention, and I'd like to be able to sell something.
This is what I'm working on at the moment.
I'd like to try and cell shade her, but I'm thinking that should just be my own personal experiment. |

the ink of Claudia "CC" Christian is done so I figured Id post it here. I also am going to edit the previous post with CC added into the Girl Power picture. Iri's pencil is on the way for any wolves waiting for huge knockers and skin, and yes she is in jeans too! I have the pose drawn, just trying to think of a top thats appropriate for her...which basiclly means barely anything and probebly fishnet. oh God her I go again with the fishnet crap.

So much love for your linework, Bruce.
If I don't give in and finish it during spring break, this will probably be an ongoing WIP for the next couple months. My painting instructor has a rule about leftover paint, it has to be used on a small quick painting instead of washing it down the sink. Abstract, landscape, doesn't matter to her as long as it doesn't go to waste.
So I finished my first assignment ("a creative color wheel") with quite a bit of paint and time left and started this. Really not what she had in mind, and she hates it when I do stuff like this ("work outside your comfort zone! You don't have to draw/paint people all the time. Why not a nice sunset? Blah blah blah"), but that's her problem. My independent painting, my subject matter, and if I want to paint Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter, I will.
So yeah, Hannibal. Best character ever. Long way to go, but I'm liking painting more. Acrylics, 4.75x7.75"

well, mine's not nearly as impressive as some of these other drawings in progress. you can see it here. I'm hoping it'll look better once I get it colored in. |

thanks Fallen love the Anthony picture your painting, but then I love your portrait works. I saw it on DA and was inpressed then. I left it on my DA list of deviations 'cause I still have to comment on it there, but the eyes are excellent. I love how you captured how his eyelids fold down over the eyes! About my CC inking I posted. I noticed when I pasted it in with Toni and Miki the crotch of her jeans looks to short, and the cell is way to short. Ill have to extend it which will mean repositioning her index figure on her right hand. let me know what you think! I do this all the time, redoing inkings after I figure their done <_<
Nikki, I checked out your area here on FAC. one pic caught my eye in the thumbnails was "Warriors Rest." you have great proportions on your pics I noticed. I dont comment often here at FAC, cause most here are cry babies, and I usually will cc pictures. quite often its taken as flaming, but Im not. I mean I start and end every cc with a nice comment. I only comment on pics that I like enough to lend a hand where I think I see a weakness. if you care, I noticed his left arm (right to viewer) is heaftier then the right, but great muscle tone though, and the hands are excellent. Naomi is one you may want to watch for the type of pictures your currently producing. her works are exquisite in the fantasy realm. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. thanx! I thought something was off about his left arm, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I'll have to check out Naomi's gallery soon, too. |

Thanks. It's gonna be a looooong trimester of beginning painting. Color wheels and paint mixing. Wish she would just let me work on Anthony. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Slight update. ^_^ The scanner light reflects off the ridges in the paint. Blah. All the light areas, especially around the left side of his face n' under his chin aren't actually there. Must find a digicam when it's finished.
Anyway, Dr. Lecter. Needs blue/purple tones, texture, wrinkles, hair, ear, and neck... but I still  it.
(edit: it also shows up way too saturated red...at least on my screen. Hm.) _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
