You know I see a lot of people these days with the (please do not flame) on their pictures of their OC gay couples. Myself I have two. One is dollz (my freaky dollz ) and the other is my newer couple (one drow the other human) and I haven't really recieved any flames.

So I am wondering if flamers are actually flaming as much as they used to. I mean, personally why are they flaming? Isn't it my right to put what I want up on FAC, if I clearly label it?

Do any of you give flames or have any of you gotten flames? Tell me your stories.

I have several gay OCs and have drawn several yaoish picters and have been since I started posting here on Fac around two years ago. I have never recieved a flame just because it's yaoi. 9.9 personally I think people just like to brag that they got flamed.

Yeah, Dg-sama, I think that most people don't get flames, because everyone here is mostly pretty open to the fact of gay people. Maybe it happened before to them, like once or twice and now it's just an "incase" measurement.

You know what I mean?

I don't think they are really bragging about being flamed, more or less trying to stop anyone from flaming.

Anyone else?

See. I myself never really got flamed. I got constructive criticism, but that's different. I figure that new artists don't really want constructive crit. they feel like someone is out to get them and hurt them and such. but all in all, constructive crit is... constructive crit. It is meant to help, not scorn. But I took it the wrong way.

Of course, I didn't go as far as not drawing for six months, but i did take it personally when it wasn't meant that way. I now know that it's going to help me, so i take it and apply it now.

I think flamers are hypocrites. if they're going to say other people are horrendous, why not shapen up themselves. Of course, though, there are the members who have nothing in their gallery, but continuosly flame...

Well, I don't think there's much else for me to say

Well since most of that has been delt with, i don't think people should wear the signs of "No flaming please".

I mean, aren't we civilized people here?

Actually, its up to someone if he/she wants to wear the sign of "no flaming please", even if they got flamed, they can always delete the comment if it really bothered them.

:)

Yeah I am saying that it is pointless to put up the " Don't flame" warning on there. I mean you can report them for flaming.

I never really got flammed either. I even saw an artist on FAc who was doing "Lames drawings" if I could say. The drawings were made toget as most flammes as possible but there was more of "Your pic is awesome!" kind of comment more than anything else . . . .
I think flamers are just or very hard and perfectionist with themselves and the others or just jealous of the others because them can't draw and try making themselves look good.
What I got that made me stop drawing was NOT constructive crit. I agree stopping drawing wasn't exactly the logical thing to do, but I was very young and hurt. One guy posted 17 comments all saying the same horrible insult towards my art, GODZILLA attacked the picture as well, and a couple of other friends of the first one. It was like after one person did, other people decided it was ok to join in. A group flaming is really terrible.
alright, who did it let me at 'em!!! Grr!
I've gotten a few flames myself. I drew this pic making fun of yuna in final fantasy x-2, & this one tidusluver chick left this incredible rude comment, basically yelling at me for not liking final fantasy X-2 that much. I left a comment on her profile basically saying that if she left another comment like that again I'd report her, & that was the end of that. another person left this comment on one of my pics that I can't really figure out if it's and insult or a critque. I guess it's right on the border, & I admit the pic isn't one of my best. but when I looked at her account she's left some rude comments on a lot of other people's pics. well, yeah has anyone else noticed that most flamers aren't any older than 12. not to offend any preteens. okay, okay *stops rambling*

Yeah, most are either highly young or highly untalented.

:) It's just not fair is it?
