I have recently begun to receive comments on one of my garfield sketches and to no surprise. It's been nothing but the negative. But what this is really about. Is about people commenting on your artwork, who find the whole world must be politically correct, friendly, or just plain nice and sweet and simple. And if your not part of that world then your an "outcast" I personally like the sound of being an outcast, but then again, your talking about a woman who told her mother at 16 years of age "I'm a failure of society and i like that" Label me with pretty little titles as such and i get a grin Cool

I like being unique and different in those weird little ways.

But the part that does annoy me, is when someone decides to try and "correct" who i am or what i'm doing. My art is a way for me to express myself in ways i won't always do otherwise. I did a quick sketch one day when there was a particular blast of fan girl activity on FAC to the point of driving a large amount of people crazy. So i did garfield, looking rather unimpressed and bored as ever, saying "You don't impress me" Most people would probably think of something else other than fan girls and goths (another subject i was thinking on at the time" But that was mine. And it was actually very vague.

But i guess it was my two paragraphs i put along with it that upset some of these people. But i find for the most part everyone liked it Cool

Go and look if you please if you haven't already. Agree or disgaree, i don't mind. And if you wish, put your own 2 cents in on my little babble to this particular girl who thinks she's miss right.

But hte point is, nothings more annoying than someone doing this, when the thing has been dead for months and done with. Especially in this case. I can't explain it, just look at the comments and then you'll see and have more to reply to. *shrugs*

Was it Hieis_lover_and_obsessor you were talking about specifically? Just that screen name is a dead give away of what kind of mentality this kid has. They obviously aren't prone to logic and reason, so I figure it's no use trying to reason with them anyway.

lol, all I have to say is damn! good for you. I may just comment on the pic too. I never do anymore here cause FAC is full of cry babies that dont like to have a good cc, and thats what most off my comments are. and damn, you have more replies on that single pic then my whole gallery here! the only pic that gets views anymore in a porn pic, and I was going to take that down. go figure. Wink

It was the serena girl. The hiei person i told to knock it off. They weren't doing anything but flamming and i warned them it was a stupid idea to do so, especially to an FAC moderator Rolling eyes

Dumbasses.

But yeah, it's the other girl really. *shrugs* People like that just need to get off their throne and all high and mighty attitude you know.

And thanks Bruce. lol. I rarely comment on FAC also. Same reasons.

Lasher, right on! I hate it when people have to impose their ideas on someone else. Myself I only try to give tips. I don't care if you use them or not, I don't demand you to change.

Myself, I like to be orginal and I like to be myself, which is why I currently have about a billion pictures of OCs that I started making while I was in jr./ highschool (depending on where you live..)

I really hate it when people are like, oh well this is the way it is and you can't change it. I had one of those posts on one of my pictures....umm... I think it was the BB one... anyway, this person was telling me how BB should be with whatsherface and how terra was a bitch and all this s**t. I think I had a royal smackdown with that.

I of course delete all comments afterword. :)

Not that I didn't expect it, and it's nowhere near the level of yours, I have the same thing on the "Born Punk" picture. Guess the kiddos don't like looking at a picture thinking it'll be fangirl garbage n' seeing the opposite. "Lyke omg I luv GC! GRRRR THEY R PUNK N I LUV DEM!!!!"

Yeah, that sort of thing pisses me off. I don't mind critisim as i said as long as it's constructive. But that just wasn't. It was just plain leechering about how unfair they think i am for expressing my opinion on something. It was a general opinion to. Not towards one person but towards the stereotypical fangirl and depressed goths you see around posting stupid ass comments and stupid ass pictures. That's not what being a fan is about. And that's not what a goth is.

Oh yes! I want to $%)^ Hiei and have his babies! I cut myself, i'm so depressed, call me goth! Bullshit is all it is. Rolling eyes

Well, you see, I'm trying to be nice. But then again what Lasher did was put a rant in the description of her picture and write how much goths and fan girls need to get over themselves. Although it was on basis of a very, very stale and generic argument, you'd think someone, sometime, would happen to come across it and speak up against it.

Well, now they did - and the impression I'm getting from Lasher is, "I can say s**t about you, but if you care to argue against it f**k YOU, I'm always right and you're an asshole."

Just FYI Lasher, you're trying to correct what these goths and fangirls are doing anyway. Much like they're just expressing themselves in the form of art. Way to contradict yourself, hon. ;)

You don't get it;. Goths don't go around talking about cutting themselves. It's actually frowned upon. It's all the wannabe goths that do that. The little girls and boys who right about how the cold blade feels across their skin. Give me a break. That's what i have a problem with. People being fake and over dramatizing it and giving something a bad name.

And the fangirls, i'm talking about little girls and boys who sit up at night, dreaming of marrying and having children with their favorite anime character. That's not expression in art, that's a mental condition that needs help from a trained and certified specialist.

There's a f**king difference. Get it right. And if you'd pay attention, i wasn't bitching about getting a commentor who didn't like it. I've already had those if you'd noticed at all mr smartass. Get a freakin clue before opening your mouth and get the facts right.

If someone doesn't agree or doesn't like it. Fine. There's a way of going about it. Instead of going on a whole freakin speech abouot unpolitically correct i was or not in their own eyes that are undoubtably correct.

Once again, you don't get it and you don't know what it is we're talking about. But everyone else does. So do us all a favor and shut the hell matt because your being a f**king prick as usual and sucking the mans dick Rolling eyes

Everyone, Goths, punks, geeks, debbies, fan girls, and anything else with a label have every right to hate your picks and say so to your face if respectable. It's not fair to expect people you don't like to shut up. If someone made a sarcastic pic against the mods, I'm sure you would be inclined to speak against it too. You may tell me Mods are better than Fan girls, but down to earth, to the basics it's the same thing, reversed.

Personally, I didn't like your comic pics.

They're just cartoon animals copied down on printing paper with sarcastic, though not witty, quotes. It's not expression of art in my opinion. They are forced, desperately wanting a laugh and never receiving. They stink.

commenting, most ppl I see don't leave comments, they just leave one word! most are all like "hey nice!" it's all boring and stupid, and they're all lazy just to make one comment on crituqing, and why they like it or don't like it, and some ppl leave comments on ppl's picture on saying "Come see my pictures and comment =^.^=" there ppl who whine over not getting views or comments on thier pictures, those are just sad ppl who won't get much attention with that attitude. Leaving good comments is that you leave something like crituqing, or why you like it or don't like it, yeah that's what I call commenting, and leaving something like this "Coolgood!!11!" or "I like it! Smile

" is just nothing.
