I was wondering, what is the predominant character that you use in your fanfics\stories? They dont have to be the main character, but it's the type of character you use most often.

For me, they would be the humble, kind guy and the hyperactive, perky girl. I dont know why, but it's fun to write using those characters.

Either the hyper young girl, the cute guy with an attitude problem, the suicidal half demon, or the insane luver. Eh, oops I just described 4 of my characters....

Hmm.. Ya know, I've never really thought about it..

But I always use the perverted/funny guy (sidekick to main male char.), the easily annoyed girl and her laid back best friend, and the nice guy in the shadows..

And for the bad guys..

The "I love to hate him" rival that's always an inch away from getting his snooty little asskicked by the hero's pal... XD

Hmm, I always tend to use quiet, gentle characters with an underlying darkness to them...or the occasional 'hate everyone and everything' guy who's had nothing but awful things happen to him in his life. e_e And then, the offhanded amusing folks...simpler folk that just...go with the flow of things... Meh. Yeah.

Eh, I usually go with the half insane person who has a hatred for all living things, the kind hearted, but easily manipulated, friend, and sometimes the clumsy, optimistic person, and for the main char, usually somebody's who's sad and has a hard time with life, that or is overly happy. Yep, I'm all about opposites.

I've always enjoyed writing the naive, but noble, buffoon. I think I fall rather close to that, so it's something I happily write. However, I've also had a great time writing characters with a serious chip on their shoulder. Not evil per se, but easily manipulated towards the wrong side, and with too much pride to admit they're wrong. Yeah, those can be excellent characters.

Me, usually use the tall dark and broody male, who prefers to be left alone, and is usually over run by a sense of honor. Meaning he does things he doesnt usually want to do, but feels he has to.

If I use a female character she usually has a mysterious past and some giant secret she has to protect

But thats only if Im writing one of my own. If I do a fan fic I try to stay with the original characterss

Fanfiction and I don't get along too well, mostly because I have issues with keeping people in character. (Shut up, I can't write. >.< )

For original stuff, I tend to go with the laid-back-to-the-point-of-acting-like-he's-high-on-something guy, the bitchy Rebel Rebel ("You've got you're mother in a whirl / She's not sure if you're a boy or a girl"), the closed off uke-ish boy whose personality was changed completely due to his dependency on others and my own indecision and lack of stability, the hotheaded-yet-sweet-when-he-wants-to-be guy who constantly fights with the Rebel, the spastic druggie who obsessively stalks the laid-back guy (who, in turn, is completely oblivious), and the unnervingly innocent boy who serves as little more than a plot device unless I happen to be in a bad mood.

Fun cast, eh? Good thing I'll never post any of my writing. >>;

I usually use dark characters with weird reigns of thoughts. Bringing up a wild chara. is what i do best, espescially aligning the chara's persionallity with the perfect describing pic... ?

I usually use really, and I mean really handsome, good-mannered boys paired with cute and gentle girls.

But in a project I'm currently working on this summer, I plan to use all possible personalities to make my story unique.

Here are the main ones: for males I use mighty ones with a good sense of justice, some old gezzers with lots of wisdom, and I wont forget those heartthrob boys I usually draw. For my ladies I use the gentle ones, some feisty and some dark ones.

O boy, can't wait to start my project!!! Happy happy happy! YAY!

WTF? very scary...

anyway, i have a really bad habit of useing a really boring and dull main character who has some great big importance to everyone else's life. And since i write in first person most of the time, it makes the char look even more boring...
for the second character, i usually use a crazy, hyperactive guy who seems to get less crazy as time goes by. i can't seem to get stuck out of that rut...
and THEN the second character starts to become oh-so-much-more-interesting than the main character, so character two takes over. If there's a character three the character three becomes character two and the person who was the main character goes and dies or something.

i honestly think my stories have faaaaaar too much people dying in them. don't ask me why- it's just more interesting for me to write about someone dying and everyone crying than them living and their whole life not getting screwed up some way or another by a maniacal narrator-artist person, who is usually me. yes i write huge big long sentences for the hell of it.
