Fan Art For Obscure Characters

I quite like to see fan art of characters from games or cartoons or anything else that is quite unusual or obscure, either because it was never particularly well known or popular, or because it's from some time ago, or a mixture of both.

Here's one example that I did, and the only one I've uploaded so far. It's Zooz, who is a character from the game Zool 2. Personally I've never seen art of her (or Zool himself for that matter) on the web, so I'd say she's pretty obscure. Here's the link:

It'd be good if others post images of their own that they consider to be quite obscure and original, and also for people to comment on the work, since everyone likes to get comments.

Well, one of my favorite characters, Jim Hammond, used to be rather obscure. He recently got a cushy gig leading the new Invaders, and so lost his status as an odd man out. There are a few pics of him in my gallery, though I haven't drawn him lately.

I think, so that this topic doesn't end up moved to self-promotion, it should edge more towards discussion of obscure characters and why we draw them, with links on the side. Otherwise, we will get scolded by one of the mods. *hint hint*

I never really put much thought into choosing obscure characters simply because they are/were obscure, only because I like them. They're fun to draw, like Jimmy boy, and make for interesting pics.

Bullsnake hosted a contest for obscure characters a season ago. It's over, but still has some interesting character info.
