Contacts

Okay, I just got my first pair of contact lenses and its a metaphorical hell getting used to them. So I'm going to start a thread about them to vent my frustration and find out if I'm the only person who's having hard times with contacts. I'm doing my best to get used to them because I really don't want glasses but they get so damn dry durring the day. So do you have them? Want them (if you wear glasses now) don't want them (glasses or not) or really don't have an opinion? And if you do have contacts too did anyone else have a hard time getting the contacts in for the first few times (its taking me at least fifteen minutes to put them in and about two minutes to take them out.) Did they ever get really dry and irritable durring the first few days? And did you ever need eyedrops for them?

I think ti's so hot when girls have the like.. baby-blue coloured ones and the black/white ones are just awesome...

Thats what my friends are trying to get me to do. But my eyes are already light blue (not baby blue but close) so I'm not so interested as that as maybe...ones that make your iris red or gold. Razz

My contacts have a blue tint to them but it doesn't make a difference as my eyes are as dark as fireless hell.

I always wanted contacts, I still kind of want them to this day even though I don't need them Razz

I want eyes like my friend's. She has tropical eyes. Those are eyes with three tropical colors. Theres a rim of gold around her pupils, green surrounding the gold, and a fine layer of blue over the green to give it that tye dye look. They're so pretty...

But I guess I should stick to light blue eyes for now. . . . .

Well I have a friend that has used contact like for two years and it still takes him a loooot to put them in his eyes. And from time to time his eyes start crying and getting all red and we bother him cuz we say he is crying, but he says that it hurts a lot, and he has one white eye and one red cuz he touches it....

I hope I never need contacts but for now im good.

i used to have to wear glasses a long time ago (about 7 years) and at that time i had light brown eyes and i really wanted green eyes , so i was begging my mom to let me have green contacts , but she said no (can you even get green contacts ? WTF?

) but over the last few years my eyes have been getting gradually greener and now i have green eyes !not too sure how they got that way though...........

I remember when I first got contacts and it took me 45 minutes to put them both in. >_< But now, I can put each one in in about 3 seconds, without even using a mirror. Of course, I've been wearing contacts for years - practice makes perfect and all that. My eyes still get dry though, especially after I've been wearing them all day.

Of course, you know, I'd love it if I didn't need glasses or contacts or anything else to correct my vision. ^_^

What type did you get. Soft or Hard? That might be sometihng to concider, hard are inpossible to get in and be comfortable for a couple of weeks. So my word of advise check to see if there hard of soft contacts (Ask the person who sold them to you) and if they arn't get soft! Makes a world of diffrence.

I wear 2-week contacts, and get on quite well with them. Given the choice, on a lazy day at home, I stick to glasses to give my eyes a rest, but for going to work or going out I wear the contacts. They do make my eyes a little more tired than glasses do, but otherwise they're great. The joys of sunglasses, drinking tea without your glasses steaming up and going out in the rain and being able to see more than compensate.

It takes a while to get used to putting things in your eye, but it's worth persevering Smile

I kind of want contacts. I'm just kind of afraid to touch my eye and stuff... :/ If I do get contacts, I want to get green or purple ones. That would be so hot. :)

PS- I hate my brown eyes, Chesh. I'll trade you.
