I need help if i'm going to e-mail people so how do you do it do you use PM?

PM = "Private Message". It's a way to contact another member through the forums, privately, only the sender and the recipient of a PM know anything about what the PM contains.

The PM button is located at the bottom of every post on the forums. Just click it, fill in the username (it should be filled in auto, but there's a bug in the forums), type the PM like you would any other forum post, and hit send.

That's the other thing: Your PM inbox identifies senders by their [i]nickname[/i], not their [i]username[/i], whereas PM's must be identified by [i]username[/i]. (So if you send a PM my way, you have to address it as "Stratadrake", not "Strata")

If you can't tell which member it is from their nick, click to go to their profile then look up one of their posts to find their username.

Yeah, it's one of those problems related to the FAC site/forums integration....

You have to get their username exact, and you don't include their nick.
