Why are we divided when our oblect is unity and fairness?
The way preps act is sickenning, as if theyre better than everyone else, but are they? The way they act proves they are not. Goth/Punk (which I am apart of), they say its not healthy, they say if you're punk/goth you have to cut, drink, smoke, ect. But do you really? Loners, is it so hard to say hello to someone that is different? Jocks, just like preps they think theyre better than everyone else as well. There are other cliques, but THESE are the ones that effect us the most. There is no abuse like the abuse (phisical or not) you recieve from your peers. What do all of you think of this and how can we fix it?

Im a newb to this, thats why its i the wrong section. Im catagorizing myself b/c that is what I am, and besides, people think I was just ranting about it, its a problem. Besides, your comments arent really going with the subject now, are we?

It's so sad that's true. They should label themselves "gawth" or some other horrid spelling to differentiate the fact they're just angsty teen mall rats and not anything having to do with gothic culture.

I am asking a question, what clique aer you apart of? It would come up sooner or later, and I'm just being who I am, who I want to be. But why does that make us "different"? Why are some people more "different" than others when our whole society is based on our differences? No one is the same, so why try to be?

Everyone is in a clique. its a known fact. its like saying youre human but youre not a girl or guy or anything. (I dont lable myself, I let the preps do that for me, then when they say "are you punk?" i sya, "i dont know, am i?" then they say "of course you are you idiot" so i reply "no one asked you, go screw yourself")

There is no such thing as pointless. And it isnt just a trend, people dress that way b/c something might have happened to them, or they just feel they need to be different.

All teens are angsty _._ (and dont ALL teens hang out at the mall? I think you just dont want to accept the fact that you are being a hypocrate)

Besides, Im just asking HOW, not that we have to change anything.

Edit: I'd be classified as "rap kid." I don't give a s**t either. I often wear hip hop oriented clothes. I don't expect everyone to know everything about me at first site. If some nobody says, "Leo, that rap kid?" I wouldn't give a s**t. I LOOK like a f**king rap kid. However, if a buddy called me a rap kid, I'd respond in a more, "what the hell?" manner. I expect friends to know me, not every other asshole on the street.

Also, there are people who are similar to me. I'm unique, but I am sure there are people who are very similar to me. I don't think I'm a goddamn diamond among an endless sea of coal. I'm not so f**king egotistical.

I have to disagree with you there I am often labled a Goth not by me though
people think i'm a goth because of the way i dress. so to make what you are saying true is that i cut myself and do weird satan stuff :huh:

Yo. I'm considered a Skatepunk/Loner. We DON'T think were better then everyone else. And were not that alone either. we just keep a tight bound on who are friends are. I've also bee ncalled goth and ounk, because of m yusual icyness at school, my usual black jeans and black sweat. I'm not a goth or punk by any means. The styrotype thing can be a pain in the ass. It staken way to seriously, I hate Peps, not preps. Peps are these always happy people who are assholes to the otherse, AND THEY are the ones who tihnk there better then the rest. not that i'm saying goths in general don't cut themself but saying that all goths cut them self is wrong

i know allot of "goths" and they are gennerally the most friendly life loving people i know

well, I only label myself. Of which I am a NERD...not a geek nerd, but I am different from everyone in my school. I mean EVERYONE
I dress differently. I don't stick with a style. I wear what I draw sometimes.
I walk around in vash boots, everyday
I enjoy striped collared blouses and cute anime pins.
I spend most of my out of class free time on computers.
No one really bothers to label me because I'm so obsessed with Japanese culture, they don't know what to call me.
They just ask me if I'm japanese.

Then again...I might be with those artistic people, but I don't like some of them >_<

I always thought cliques were more about what everyone wore and their attitudes about things. Maybe I'm wrong?

Me and some of my friends started a clique in school, for all the outcasts and rejects. We fuckin' rock.
People like to label me a hippie, which is a real subculture, granted, but in my opinion it's ridiculous to label anyone under the age of 45 a hippie. Plus I don't do drugs or believe in 'free love" or any of that crap. Just peace. Cool

It is easy to look at people and their actions and want to place them in a labled catagory along with others who display the same interests, but it's pointless to label yourself, you know? It's like predetermining a style of life for yourself based on popular cultural influences rather than just taking life as it flows.

I don't get how everyone can claim they're different when really, they're more or less following a trend. However unique you think you are, you're just..Not. X3 It's been done. ((Not aimed at anyone in specific here, just trying to make my own little point.))

If you just be who you wanna be, dun worry about what others think, and don't judge people based on their exterior, I'm sure you'll be fine. Leave labels for soup cans. =3
