There are tons of sites out there explaining it.

Pwned was a mistake in a popular games booklet, to begin with. People used it to make fun of it then it stuck.. It's just means ownage or like, superiority. If you kill/frag a bunch of people or beat the other team or kill/frag others with skill, showing your superiority, then you own them... Pwnage/pwned j00/pwn't!/etc just pretty much "I'm better than you"

Between? I don't think that's used so often in talks so there isn't a universal abbreviation for it. BTW is by the way.. Between might be Btwn but I doubt anything else.. It's not used often enough for a quicker version.

If you're ever wondering what a certain abbrev. means (ex: pwn, btw... etc) go to http://www.urbandictionary.com and search for it. It's fairly decent.
