What would you rather receive if you won a contest in the contest section? Smile

It's hard for me to choose.

Requests? To me, a "prize" request has gotta be something special, something that the artist put a bit of effort, thought and design into, and has to be something that they wouldn't volunteer for anyway (outside of the contest). IMHO, request prizes are worth considerably less if the person offering them is always open to requests.

As a contest host myself, I've done request prizes because that's really all I can do as a reward -- and to make sure that they remain special, I don't otherwise "take" requests (although "volunteering" for one is an entirely different matter Wink) .

Banners? Never had much use for them.

Bragging Rights? Not that I like to brag about which pictures won which contests... well, okay, maybe a little ^_^. My vote goes for this one.

If the person who is giving requests isn't that particularly good at drawing, then I'd choose bragging rights. But if someone like DG-Sama or Strata was giving them that's a whole different story Very Happy Laughing

Cash. Very Happy I love cold hard cash.

But considering that's not an option for all but a couple contest holders, the next best would be a request I suppose.

I'd like a banner, and an award banner is just like bragging, except you don't have the say anything, just let people stare at your banner & oo & aw. Laughing
Cash.  I love cold hard cash.
love your thinking there Fallen. not to many people on these sites offer it though. paid subscriptions to sites for 1/2 or a full year are kinda cool too.

I chose a banner. I put them on my site. if an artist wants to give a piece of fanart (request) I dont care if the persons not accomplished...I put those on my site too. bragging rights, whos to brag too. bragging about unknown contests is quite worthless when you want to make money off your own works. publishers and such dont really care, and I guess Im getting too old to run around saying "my arts better than your art" when that all opinion. money makes the world go round. I still say cash is the best answer.

Yeah, anything of that sort. I have no use for banners just because I don't put them anywhere for anything (looks like clutter to me), and requests don't interest me 99% of the time because I'm not a fan of the artist's style.

Bragging rights...meh. Just winning works for me, but since this is preferred award, cash it is. Paypal, money order, it all works for me. Razz

Cash would be the best answer, I think, though 'other' also implies souls >.>

I actually don't prefer to get requests :/ I feel stupid trying to come up with an idea that isn't so good that I wnat to draw it, but not too boring for the artist. When I get boring requests after contests (all 3 that I've done), I get sad and don't work very hard on them. In fact I'm so ashamed I might have to redo some, but in any case O.o

Generally, I'd be happy if people from the contests I entered would go and enter mine... Nothing suckier than having no one enter your contest Sad

Oh man, don't I know what that feeling is like. Every time I think up a good contest idea, it ends up feeling 'cliquey', with a handful of members who most always participate, but everyone else? They never even say boo about it.

Tiring, I tell ya....
