And if so, what is your opinion about the nature of RP. What is an RP to you, why does it hold your interest?

I did RPs for about a year. As luck would have it, I fell in with a small group who actually knew HOW to RP and did it well. I would join theirs, and they would join mine. One RP weant on for the entire extent of my RPing and is actaully a very interesting story to read. However, I became frustrated with the amount of immature RPers who did nothing but RP as agsty, gay half-demon/half-angel bishi characters who had no memory of their own past. The majority of people in the RP thread can't RP to save their own life. They would either ruin the story, post two sentences at a time, or not contribute in any meaningful way. I became tired of this (not to meantion frusrated) and eventually just sort of drifted away from the threads. I don't know if I'll be back.

I've never role played before. I'm not that great at coming up with stories, and I'd much rather just be myself then be the influcence behind some made-up character. Besides, I'm afraid that if I ever did role play I'd just ruin it by saying, "Um, what do you want to do?" *twittles thumbs*

I do like to roleplay, but not on FAC really. It's just mainly that I'm used to RPing with a group of ppl (who I've known for years) from a different site. Besides, I don't really see any RPs here that I'm interested in. I [i]could[/i] start one myself but.. I don't wanna.

I think roleplaying is gay.

Instead of typing down that I'm a badass sword master, I could just play Devil May Cry 3. Or Mega Man Zero.

I'm with Leo. If I wanna pretend to be someone I'll play a video game. Or go hit trees with 'swords'. I can always pretend my dogs are demons. Dogs dont mind being hit with poles and sticks, do they?..... Uneasy

I am in 3-4...I think...I can only think of two that I am mainly involved in at the moment.

I just don't like it when you have people who post one or two sentences, and think they're wonderful at it. Or when they use "r u" or "plz" or just when they don't talk right for the hell of it.

The one roleplay that I can say that is going really good is "Demonic Light" towards the end, me and Animemaster were making [i]really[/i] long posts.

Many, I think I'm active in seven or eight as of now.

What I think a [b][u][i]really good[/i][/u][/b] Rp includes:
-People that write more than two sentences in their posts. I enjoy reading those huge meaty paragraphs, it really gets you invovled.
-People that don't forget about the Rp. Rp's should go on longer than most do, I hate seeing all these rp's go down the drain cause some idiots join and post two times in the whole rp.
-Creativity. Its good not to be walking down a street eating peanuts for a whole Rp.
-Normal English. No "PLz g2g cuz 4 u" kinda stuff. I can't understand n00bish.
I know theres more, but I can't think right now.

I actually love Rping, thats mostly what I do in the forums. Tis just like being in a big spontaneous videogame.

It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.

i enjoy rping on this site, but everyone is too serious and they make thier characters too invincible, ive made one or two hard characters but not any more, i prefer playing the happy idiot alot more fun.

I love to RP, though I'm currently not involved in any, on FAC or off... not that I would really go for a FAC rp anyway... pretty much for many of the reasons stated already. Lack of post length, lack of proper grammar... ect... But what I really dislike is people's lack of creativity in character creation. I allways put quite a bit of thought into my characters and almost expect everyone else to do the same. But no... 80% of the people who rp here base thier character off some random pretty picture they got of a search engine, many times even official characters are used as a picture for an origional. It just seems like a very lazy sloppy way of handling things. Sad

Whatever happend to the days when people would draw thier own characters and come up with nice descriptions and backstories for them?
