hip hop makes my ears bleed. predictable, over-simplefied, crappy beats pre-packaged to sell to the simpleton mainstream.

sorry, but I'd rather not get into the hip hop scene and be spoonfed music. Things are always so much free when you discover music on your own eh? Besides, it makes sorry people like myself feel rather...unique Wink

I disagree , hip - hop isnt all the same. If you listen to what the rapppers are saying, you would know that hip hop talkes about the issues going on in the world or even just simple every day things. well actually in my opinion they all just rap about the same stuff over and over and over again :wacko: doesn't make much difference to me cause i very very rarelly listen to it... only when my g/f has it on cause she likes it <_<

allthough i do agree with steph about the beats those are maybe the one reason why i can at least stand to listen to that music....

then why is it that all the rappers sound the same, singing in a unemotional, robot monotone voice singing filthy lyrics? sorry, but the last time I listened to a rap song, the lyrics was about drugs, violence, and sex. oh, and lets not forget the lyrics about the shoes...SHOES?! man, that is so deep... Rolling eyes

hip hop lyrics are so generic! damn..I want to hear something useful for once. I understand that listening to nonsense-violent lyrics can be fun sometimes, but meaningful lyrics is what really makes a song truely have a purpose. The best of lyrics are always about the philosphy (sp?) of life.

No actually, the a repetitive beat just makes it catchy, thus that is why the majority of people (which are mostly simpletons of course) like it. but hell, it's so [i]boring[/i]. why the heck would one want to listen to the same old, simplfied beats [i]over[/i] and [i]over[/i] again? I want to listen to something crazy, something full if energy and is unpredictable. It it makes listening to music so exciting then the same old lame beats over and over again.

if you want to listen to hip-hop, that is fine with me. but, meh, i had to get that rant out of my system...xD
