| The TOS keeps mentioning it, but I have no clue what it is. I'm afraid to post anything, because I'm not sure if it's a violation. |

Official art is art created by the creators of the manga/anime/cartoon etc.. of whatever you are drawing. Don't worry about submitting. As long as it is something that you have drawn without tracing, it will be fine.Always make sure to submit your pictures under the correct categories and with proper ratings of course

And yes, ripoffs. That's something you really don't want to do, because FAC (Fanart Central) literally has a place for people who do those things. They get put up on the Wall Of Shame! Check the site's main page for the tab.
