Ack this is going to be a long post. :wacko: Sorry. I just want to know what humor of medieval phisiology you are. Just pick the one below that descibes you the most...I am Perfect Melancholy...

-Popular Sanguine (blood)-

appealing personality, talkative, storyteller, life of the party, good sense of humor, memory for color, physically holds on to the listener, emotional and expressive, cheerful, curious, good on stage, wide-eyed and innocent, lives in the present, sincere at heart, always a child, creative and colorful, makes friends easily, loves people, thrives on compliments, seems exciting, envied by others, doesn't hold grudges, apoligizes quickly, prevents dull moments, compulsive talker, exaggerates, asks too many questions, can't remenber names, scares others off, too happy for some, restless energy, egotistical, complains, naive, has loud voice and laugh, gets angry easily, seems fake to some, never grows up, hates to be alone, needs to be center stage, wants to be popular, dominates conversations, interrupts and doesn't listen, makes excuses.

-Powerful Choleric (yellow bile)-

born leader, dynamic and active, compulsive needs for change, must correct wrongs, strong willed and decisive, unemotional, not easily discouraged, independent, exudes confidence, has little need for friends, is usually right, bossy, impatient, quick temper, can't relax, enjoys arguing, won't give up when losing, unsympathetic, rude, manipulates ppl, uses ppl, dominates others, decides for others, knows everything, can do everything better, too independent, possessive, can't say sorry.

-Peaceful Phlegmatic (phlegm)-

low key, easy going, calm, cool, collected, patient, consistent life, quiet but witty, sympathetic and kind, hides emotions, all purpose person, avoids conflicts, good under pressure, easy to get along with, pleasant, inoffensive, good listener, dry sense of humor, has many friends, unenthusiastic, fearful and worried, indecisive, avoids responsibility, selfish, too shy, self righteous, lazy, discourages others, dampens enthusiasm, stays uninvolved, unexciting, judges others, sarcastic, resists change.

-Perfect Melancholy (black bile)-

deep, thoughtful, serious, genius prone, talented, creative, artistic or musical, poetic, philisophical, appreciative of beauty, sensitive to others, conscientious, idealistic, perfectionist, organized, makes freinds cautiously, content to stay in the background, avoids causing attention, faithful, devoted, listens to complaints, deep concern for others, seeks ideal mate, remenbers the negatives, moody and depressed, enjoys being hurt, has false humility, off in another world, low self image, self centered, guilt feelings, hypochondriac, not people oriented, chooses difficult work, really high standards, lives through others, insecure socially, withdrawn and remote, critical of others, holds back affection, suspicious of people, vengeful, unforgiving, full of contradictions, skeptical of complaints.


If you are a little bit of both, you are probably in the cusp...Like I'm in between Phlegmatic and Melancholy....Have fun wasting time.

I'm mostly Melancholy, with a little Phlegmatic. But I [i]do[/i] think I am quite humorous(look at my sig ). But of course, that's just my opinion of myself.

You know, another interesting thing is that people also characterized diseases by biles- all the way from then into the Romantic Era, and they used that to decide how they should be treated, which usually didn't work :/
