Awhile ago DGsama created a thread about the cookie monster being taken from sesame street and this got me thinking of the afternoons in my younger days (last week lol) when i used to come home run to the front room and turn on the televison, then i heard the opening credits to sesame street.

I used to watch as big bird used to talk to some random kid who would disappear in the next scene, i laughed as the cookie monster stuff cookies into his mouth and the sheer look of joy on his face, i used to count along with the crazy count and his bats, i didnt get the homoerotic antics of bert and ernie. And lets not forget Elmo's annoying little face and Oscars constantly angry outlook on life.

am i the only one who remembers this?

the appeal in sesame street lies in its characters, thomas the tank engine the only difference was the colour and the voice.

Sesames street watching it again at my age you realise thing you dont realise before, the amount of sexual indenoes that lay hidden inside of it

e.g. 1 Big bird every chance he got he was feeling up one of the non costumed co-hosts

e.g. 2 oscar once when he was in his can, it shook and shook, when they asked what he was doing his words were ' i was polishing my trumpet'

e.g. 3 the count he used to say yo have a delisious neck but his eyes were never aimed at the neck

e.g 4 that blue gonzo rip-off used to always touch elmo in every scene

e.g. 5 (you saw this coming) bert and ernie we so obiously gay they became america's traditional gay couple

I used to watch Sesame Street. I loved Big Bird and Ernie and The Cookie Monster.

My sister was horrified of Baby Bear for some reason when she was little...

Now watching it due to little cousins. I realize how obvious the sticks for the puppets are, especially for worms and caterpillars.

Yeah, I used to watch it. It was pretty good. Some characters got pretty annoying like Elmo. People said that Bert and Ernie were gay

Elmo is overrated, he never should have gotten his own show. The Cookie Monster Rocks so ard, I can't believe they got rid of him. Sad
