Just Ella

I thought it was a sequel to Ella Enchanted, but it was actually a continuation of Cinderella! >< I have one thing to say about this book: *twitch*
So did I, but after I read it the book was still pretty good.

Books in my hate list:

The wayfarer Redemption, (I don't want to remember how bad it got... Grr! )
The Slave dancer (boring)
Forest's War (I wanted to bang my head on my desk every time my teacher told us to get it out)
Daughters of the moon (only liked the authors idea)

The Lord of the Flies. WTF?

I can't remember any others right now...

some of the books that i've been seeing on here, i can't possibly see how you could say that they're horrible pieces of literature. i'm talking a catcher in the rye, animal farm, 1984, slaughter house 5, the chronicals of narnia, of mice and men, ordinary people, ect. especially since they're classics with thought pulled into them that actually make a REAL point, unlike most of the pointless, teen-angst related stuff pulled into literature in today's world.

of course i'm not saying that people can't have an opinion on how they feel about these books, but calling a piece of literature boring and calling it crap are two very different things-- especially when the author is actually trying to pull a lesson somewhere upon the pages. the worst book ever in my opinion is one that is a worthless, completely HORRIBLE piece of literature that doesn't even TRY to express a point to anybody. a book that does actually has an excuse to exist and can maybe even teach you something. for example, i hate lord of the flies and everything it's about, but i don't think it's anywhere near a horrible book if i actually put it in the terms of literature.

Aww, I actually liked that book. Sad After I finished it I went to the library to read The Road to Memphas, Let the Circle Be Unbroken, and The Well. The first two were sequels and the latter was a prequel about Cassie's father. I thought that Mildred D. Taylor was a pretty good writter.

I hated Daddy's Little Girl by Marry Higgens Clark. That book was so stupid and boring. The girl thought this one guy was her sister's killer, and by the end of the book the reader finds out that *GASP* he was the killer! Oh my gawd! The suspence was too much! <_< Lamest 400 pages I was ever forced to read.

Let's see...

"A Seperate Peace" bored me to near-tears when I had to read it. The book was good in theory, but crapola in practice. It couldn't hold my attention at all.

"Rats of Nimh", or however you spell it. Too tired to look. I couldn't make it past the first three chapters. Again, couldn't keep my interest. Gave me a feeling of listening to an oral report rather than reading a book.

"Harry Potter" -- ALL of them. I read Books of Magic first, and couldn't even stand the thought of Harry Potter after that. The writing is mediocre at best, and it will always be such a blatant rip on Books that I can't bring myself to even accept it. Give me Yo-Yo! Give me Zatana! And give me John Constantine!

I had to read A Seperate Peace and Animal Farm for English class. Animal Farm was in 9th Grade, A Seperate Peace was this year. I loved Animal Farm, but found it hard, at points, to read through A Seperate Peace. Neither of the two were half as bad as Farewell to Manzanar, though. I really, really hate The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. I had to read that for English 10 this year and I could barely get through it without falling asleep. I fell asleep watching the movie, though Sad

I loved Animal Farm, it was awesome. I don't see how anyone could dislike that book.

Books I had to read for schoolsubjects. for Dutch, French - English was ok, even though in my second year of English the teacher gave me a book way beyond general reading level with the words 'Oh, it's okay, you can read this.' >_<

Why are books you have to read in class so bad and boring? Meeeeh.
Books I picked up from the lib and that were bad just ended up unread of course, don't even remeber them.

The last one was a bit much of nothing really, but I do understand why. It's the silence before the storm, and there is alot that happens, but it's more intrinsic and hard to grasp in an interesting action-packed way. I think book 6 will kick ass again. Or I hope so.

*I want me Lupin back* I soo loved him in book 3. He's the best teacher ^^
