I'm still trying to make my drawings a bit better.
I'm looking at different mangas for refferences like hands, arms, etc. I'll probably have my own style when my drawings gets better. |

I try to have my own original styler but I have to admit when I first started drawing and was really into anime I was heavily inspired by Ah! My goddess, CLAMP, Love Hina, and a few others.
Now the only anime/manga that even comes close to inspiring my style is Myung Jin-Lee's manwha, Ragnarok. His backgrounds, and eyes are amazing! Actually everything he touches with his art is  The small detials in the clothes ^^ To me it is one of the few mangas that actually have good art
Here are some examples

I draw my own style. A lot of works have inspired me, mainly Furry art, but probebly the main style you can see in my art now, is the Masashi's style, Manga-ka of Naruto. Only the noses though, and not quite all the way either. Nya, Oh well, It's my own style I have been changing for the last 7 years lol |
yup, thats right. However, I don't think it's bad to copy styles sometimes (experimentation is a good thing), but to copy others' anime styles right off the bat constantly and not creating your own is just terrible. That is why so many other artists despise the anime style so much. Heck, there are major prejudice people on DA against the anime style...it's really depressing
cmon, people, pick up that pencil and start drawing styles of your own. copying other styles is what makes the anime style so generic looking.
i forgot to add this, but another anime art style my stuff is inspired by is a doujin circle called Blue Lynx. They make dbz doujins, a little simular to Toriyama's style, but with a little of thier own. They have a really beautiful art style, and the coloring is amazing. even for dbz-influenced, they managed to make some really original looking stuff.
for some odd reason, more doujin-ka these days have more original styles compared to the professional manga-ka...it's really odd, and sad.
Your argument couldn't be more right. I've seen a bit of anime I do like, like this for example! _________________ Mohawks are beautiful sculptures |

I try to make my anime stuff as original as I can - I've been developing my own style for quite some time. I don't always do anime, though. My forte happens to be dragons and other assorted fantasy creatures. ^^; Although I'll have to admit to liking a few styles that I've seen in anime, it's not like I'll copy it right-out. That sort of thing is better suited for beginning artists, who don't currently have the ability to make their own style. _________________

My style is influenced by anime, but its slowly standing on its own two feet. I still use the big eyes on occasion, but I'm trying a semi-realistic look. |

same here. my biggest influence for drawing is tetsuya nomura. he's done the character artwork for the majority of the final fantasy games plus kingdom hearts. I've always loved the fact that his drawings were a little more realistic than most anime. not to mention the outfits the characters wear always have a ton of detail. I also like the way he draws eyes. I always just sit & stare at his designs trying to mimic his style. |

Well I do like animes alot with a touch of semi-realism in the face and the body. My style is now standing on both feet pretty well since this summer 'cause it's since then that I din,t need models or anything. I've gotten alot better during the year and keep inproving. ^_^ _________________ I know, my sig sucks. So what? |

I try a little bit of clamp style (the x serie's to be more precise) than after, I turn toward Kaori Yuki's style (the author of angel sanctuary and count Cain) |

hmm i dont exactlly know what style my anime art falls in but i guess it would be a mixture of my own style and manga artist whos books ive read over the year like salior moons style when i was 6-ish, rumiko takashiro when i was 9-ish, slayers style when i was 12ish and now akimine kamijyo,he rocks my long socks, with his styles. but n e who i think its a mixture of althoughs styles through the years. _________________ If every artist's sketch book was an actual place for your drawings to live, they say that my sketch book would be a horrible twisted place where sin runs wild, pervertion around every corner, gorie blood beneath your feet, and the occasional wickedly cute chibi . i think thats cute of them to say that. This sounds stupid, but I don't think 'style' is something that can be copied. A person's picture might look similiar to another proffesional artist's way of drawing, but it's drawn the way it was somewhat differently because the way the person drew the picture came to them naturally (unless it was traced). Or something like that. o_O I think 'style' is different for every person, even though it may look similiar to another artist's work.
Anyway, I draw anime cel shaded art I guess, but I've been practicing drawing American-ish cartoons lately, which are to me, a lot easier than drawing anime art.
But, yeah, this board has the word 'Otakutard' written all over it. >>; No offense. |

Anime influences my style. Of course i did start off drawing original anime cartoons but i usually draw my own characters. I prefer anime to american cartoons (except Disney).

My own ^^; I kinda developed my own anime drawing style. First I drew a lot of lovehina style and Aoi nanase style. So My style is enfluenced mostly by these two. Though it's enfluenced by lost of other artist as well. |
