Who Is Your Favorite...

This was inspired from helping my friend on a Civics project. The project was to do a big report and presentation about your favorite serial kill/mass murderer. Kind of an oxymoronic project, right? At first glance, yes. But after delving in deeper I found that the Zodiac killer and I have more in common than I would ever think. We both have the same favorite AC/DC song (Night Prowler) and don't like cab drivers. But those aren't really good reasons. What is kind of a good reason is that the way the Zodiac killer chose his victims (i.e through his interest in math, he came up with this math formula involving circumference n' the distance of a city, etc.) It seems like something I would come up with exactly down to the last detail.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm nothing like (and have no interest to be) a serial killer. But lately I've wondered if I'm possibly a "serial person." A person with the natural tendancies of a serial killer only with no real desire to kill.

But anyways, who is your favorite serial killer?

Personal favorites include Jack the Ripper, Pedro Lopez (sheer sickness of it), Henry Lee Lucas and Ottis Toole, Pee Wee Gaskins, Erszebet Bathory, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer...

Look 'em up, if any names are unfamiliar. Perhaps a sick fascination, but I can't help it.

Jefery Dahmer is another favorite of mine. Real sicko that one. Actually, killer who actually resorted to canibalism fascinates me. Weird, yes. But its just my human nature to be curious about something that is obviously bad and forbidden to learn (at least in my religion.) I had to do a report on Dahmer too so I learned a lot about him. What fascinates me the most about him is that he had a fairly normal home life and then he suddenly turned out to be this sicko with these ungodly killing and sexual desires. God, the way the human mind works sometimes...

Does Charles M@nson count as a serial killer? Or just a very disturbed man with a lot of coke? :huh:

Jack the Ripper. For a person to go down in history for being a serial killer is good. But to do it, and still be an unsolvable riddle even today, is incrediblr.

What confuses me the most about Charles M@nson is that the song he believed to tell of a racial war was Helter Skelter. I've listened to that song (well, the Motley Crue remake of it) and it has nothing to do with war. And I've even tried to listen for messages even hinting that and there's nothing. So does that mean that Charles was a nutcase. Most likely. Not my favorite killer but he certainly has the best mug shot of them all.

I usually base my favorites on how they killed their victims. The more inhumane, the more interesting. This must see really unusual but I'm fascinated by how the human mind works and how a person gets these urges to do such horrible acts is just something I would love to try and study and figure out.

I remember hearing about this one killer who actually drilled holes into his victims' heads and he'd try to pour this chemical in the hole so they'd be mindless sex zombie (he never realized that the hole in the head first.) And after he was done doing the corpses he'd eat them. I watched an interview with him that was fairly recent and he said he did this "to feel closer to his victims and be at absolute oneness with those he killed." He actually believed what he did was right. Was that Dahmer? I don't think so but I can't remember now. :wacko:


And yes fallen, Hannibal is definetly the most likeable killer. I was actually hoping he would escape in Silence of the Lambs.
