I think it depends on which you start off with. If you start off with girls, you would find them easier to draw but if you start off with boys...you get the drill. Frankly, i think girls are easier because i started off with them. |

Girls. I suck at drawing males <_<
Girls are just alot easier (at least for me). I can never get a male's body shape down. (Of course, Dad has tried to teach me...I'm getting kinda better ) |

DaBear -- That made my day. XDDDD
Anyway, back on topic.
I prefer to draw men. Probably because I read of the comic books, and most superheroes are men. More importantly, Jimmy Boy is a man. And well... Heh.
I find women difficult, though not impossible. Though I've never really sat down and drawn a woman specifically for FAC, I'm sure I could, if I wanted. I do have female characters, though none of them are human. Kiff is female, and has the typical wide hips and small shoulders of a woman, but is, obviously, a kittybirg.

I used to have a lot of trouble drawing males (especially their hips). Being a woman (or a girl, as I was at the time), all I had to do was stand in front of the mirror to have a model for the female body.
But then I went to art school, and once a week we got to draw nude models. Wow, was that useful or what? I really got to study the male body, without any blushing awkwardness. Ive gotten the feeling that most people here are pretty young, but if you get the chance and want to learn how to draw human bodies, draw nude models. I know theres a word for it (in Sweden we call it kroki), but I dont know what its called in English.
Anyway, now I feel just as comfortable drawing both males and females. _________________

most of my friends (particularly the ones that don't watch a lot of anime) mistaken my guys for girl, especially if they have long hair. then again, I'm still kinda confused as to whether or not the character envy from FMA is a really feminine guy or a girl with a really flat chest. I guess it's the tanktop that throws me off. anyways, I recently got into drawing fantasy creatures; well, actually just dragons. I like drawing all the little details in the scales & such.

I enjoy drawing females more because when I am finished drawing I liek to have something nice to look at. And usually it is less fulfilling with a male character....an extremely feminine male.
My mother thought this was a girl X__X

I more often draw girls because I luv to make long hair and I think it's a bit easier to make them since I'm one myself but i'm practicing at drawing guys as well. _________________ A life with love will have some thorns but a life without love will have no rose |
