Another one of my "How do you write your fanfics?" posts. This time, its about themes you can't pull away from. Do you try to write something angsty, but your story ends up being a comedy? Do you write a romance novel, but it only ends up being fluff? I'd like to know.

Personally, I can't avoid a theme of romance for whatever reason. I always create some kind of romantic couple or something.

I think the hardest to avoid is probably angst.

I mean, most characters nowadays are tragic heroes anyway, so a little angst is expected. Even when doing a mostly humorous story, there are usually sections that I have to catch myself. "Bad Kiff! This is supposed to be lighthearted!"

Aw well. Admitting's the first step to recovery, right? XD

I can aviod death in my stories. And I don't usually use the hooror genre.

Well, there are lots of thing I can't avoid like:
--Some funny and somewhat awkward moments. Sure, every story needs that to have spice.
--I often start with a boy and a girl as friends then end up as lovers. Dunno, guess I just like those kissing scenes. AAHH! It's smooching time for Hiro n' Stella this summer!
--injury. I avoid dying characters, but I can't seem to stop them from being injured in some parts of my stories. WAHH!
--There's always a cool cloaked(or something else) guy who helps out my main characters.

Angst/tragedy is one of my main ones. I like making people suffer. ^_^
I do a lot of action/adventure fics, tho.

hm, fantasy and adventure is cool too. Oh and twisting reality, that I cannot live without. Making the characters chase a false hope, twist the very ideas and emotions, basically rewrite the world as they know it, leaving them confused and angry, and then the angst and stuff comes in. Yes, I'm an odd person.

Humour. I thought I'd become a specialist in drama/angst/tragedy, but then I realised that it's hard for me not to add at least a few humourous scenes and dialogues to my stories, even the serious ones. Not that I'm complaining about it.

Hmm, well, I don't write many stories, but my dreams so far right now have been inspiring me to do one. Anyways, the stuff I can't avoid is angst, humour (that's where my oc char, Ray comes in), romance, my characters dying (again, Ray) violence (violence=blood) and the whole magical-power-that-comes-out-of-nowhere stuff.

That stuff makes it so interesting!!

How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:
Song: Seize the Day by Default
Anime: D.Gray Man
Anime character(s): Kanda
Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault
OC: Ray Eclrida, copyright of me (duh!)

There! The RANDOM word! I know what you mean. I already made up two stories with "the RANDOM" guy. It all ended up being weird.

All my ideas are silly. I wish I could set my mind to one or two themes then forget all the rest. Adding stuff that don't make any sense at all will make it weird.
