I don't think FAC Artwork is an answer for sales. Maybe just the impersonal FAC logo? Which we don't have. I don't think many people would choose to walk down a street with an anime girl or a cute lil' grem-kitty on thier chest..
Maybe a simple "I'm such a FACer" or "FAC THIS!" or something like that.
Maybe just a FAC logo if one were to be designed.
Hm, I disagree. Sure, just a logo is easily offered (and will be, if someone designs and sends one! No one did), but I know a lot of people who prefer it the other way around. Including me. Granted basically none of the art sent in appeals to me, but when it comes to things I do want to wear on a shirt, I like pictures.
What I'm wearing right now is a Bowie shirt from last year's tour with a bigass picture of him on the front. Picked it over a baby doll with just the logo and little star pattern. All my Faster Pussycat shirts have pictures on them as opposed to the line of just logos. Same goes for all but two of 'em.
Some people like pictures.
NO This has been an always will be a compleatly free website. Don't change it!
We're not changing it! Everything you have now will be left intact. Additional things for paying members will be purely small bonuses that likely wouldn't be added at all. At least not all of them. So no "special treatment" is being given to subscribers at the expense of free members. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

well, I'm pretty cheap, so, my limit for paying for a premium account wouldn't be more than about $10. I think some good features that would come w/ a premium account might be access to a private chat where paid members could just relax and mess around, & also have the words "site contributor" added to your FAC profile page....something tells me this has already been done. oh well, if not it'd be a nice addition. |

Maybe we could do something like animemusicvideos.org, where if you donate anything, anything at all, then you have all the special features forever... It could work, right? |

What the hell is wrong with these people? A few dollars/euro/yen/whatever out of your pocket a month isn't going to hurt you. At this rate, the paid accounts aren't going to happen. f**k it. I guess it's all just spam when they say they love FAC.
I wasn't here when the donate link was up, I don't think, but if you're still taking donations, Denis, how can I do it? _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

I'd pay for an account if I had a job, but I don't. I've been meaning to get one for like two months, but... Oops Um, the only problem with making premium accounts are that a lot of the members here, as it has been said before, are younger and don't have jobs so they can't pay to be premium members. There are some older members, though, and I think if we offered some really cool features they might actually get an account? We can't make it too expensive, either. Maybe you could make a special space to showcase the art of premium members? Or atleast have a list of them so more people will see their gallery. I think after we redesign the layout, maybe mess with the logo a bit, then we can do something like premium members. It'd also be good if we could get more people to join (Yes, I know how many people register per day, but how many stay and post?). |

I haven't forgotten about this, I'm looking into various adverising stuff at the moment. Maybe on the weekend or next week I'll be able to better evaluate stuff related to this. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

I don't ever sign up for premium accounts. I just don't want to have to bother with it.

I agree. (although I'm not saying that I hate the mascots, no offense)

Hmm...as soon as I finish all my art homework, I could try designing a logo with just the letters.

I think that premium accounts are a good idea. I'd get one most likely.. Cash, and check sound good. In addition to others, too, but those should definately be options.
Also for the features... the've all pretty much been listed. The one where you can see who'se favorite artist list you are on is cool. Also, maybe a count of how many people have one of your pictures in their favorites.

yeah, this has been mentioned before; I'm almost certain it has, but I think some notification of the people who've added you the their favorites list would be good for the people with the paid accounts. kind of like what DA does, it's one of the features I do like. ^^ maybe all the people who pay are automatically put on the auto-approval list. |

Um, no, auto-approval should not be something you could "buy". _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I dunno.... seems to me someone who pays for an account wouldn't be screwing around with it. _________________ |

Scraps... is too much like DA. But maybe something like it.... That would also encourage people to stick their crap in there... rather than having it show up as a recent submission and such.
I think that people who pay should be able to customie their profile at like at Sheezy art.
Oh good lord, no. Neon yellow text on a hot pink background was never and will never be a good idea. Especially for an art site. Minor options, like on Yahoo, for choosing border colors and such maybe, but backgrounds and text color always ends up badly. It used to be possible to do that on FAC profiles with code, and it got ridiculous. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

There's an edit button at the top of your posts if you want to add anything. Posting twice in a row is frowned upon (as is posting an off topic message in a thread).
I replied to your email earlier this afternoon. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

If there ever does get to be paid accounts, then a nice thing would be to be able to skip past having to post three times daily in the Sandbox, as well a few other features; though that would be key for me. |
