What subject matter do you enjoy drawing or looking at?
Realistic portraits? People posing? Abstract? Landscapes?
Name a few of your favorites!

I like lineart. That way you can see the real skill behind an artist without covering it up with flashy cheap photoshop colors and effects. Too often badly drawn pictures are being found awesome because the colors are nice. Of coarse that takes skill too, but for me the real creativity shines when there is only lines to shape an object. I guess my favourite subject would be warriors in anime style.

I'm with Lexar on this. Although I do like still-art too. You know like the Fruit bowl.

I like prehistoric and scifi scenes. Kinda opposite sides of the timeline there.

I draw random stuff. Well, sometimes I focus on working on one thing, like poses, or expressions. Otherwise whatever I feel like.

Lexar, what about hand colored stuff? U know, whith pencil crayons/color pencils/whatever.

Why must there be sso many names for friggin' color pencils! . . . .

Heh, anyone need to be enlightened as to my subject matter of choice? Mah sexy leather-wearing, big haired, instrument playing boys. Oh, and Dee Snider. Razz I'll add Cyndi Lauper, Lita Ford, etc. eventually. Because no one draws the cool chicks.

Ah, and I like looking at it, too. Real, cartoony, whatever. Other than that, the really weird, twisted, surreal stuff is cool.

I like the really realistic portraits that actually look like they could have been photographs. That takes skill there.

Ooooo, yes! Those are always fun to look at. I've seen some excelent ones on this site. I wonder if anyone on here is going to grow up to be some famous, world-renowned artist some day. That'd be awesome.

i wouldn't be surprised if a few people on this site went on to have a successful career in art (be it animation, comics, manga, abstract, or portriaits). there is indeed some real talent here

hmm i like to draw a lot of things, because i have a lot of different interests. i like drawing anime/manga and comic pics, as well as realism sketches of my favourite actors/singers. i enjoy doing just original stuff, too, like fantasy/sci-fi-type and original characters. i do pictures based on songs, too- like images i get when i hear a certain song, or songs that apply to a certain picture. it's all people, tho. i can't draw animals or nature or anything to save my life. been working on me backgrounds lately... and then maybe i'll try my hand at animals.... yea.

I am! I am! And then you can all say you knew me! Yay! *cough* Right. Anyway. Carry on.... WTF? (on a semi-related note, I will be getting a nice art-related paycheck soon. Don't think an anniversary portrait will make me famous, though. DAMN! And now, I weep....)

I did an anversary pic for my parents a few years ago. I wonder if I should put it up on the site. *shrugs*

Can I have your autograph, Fallen? Then I can say I sort of knew you when my future children have to learn about you for their famous artist study assignment. Maybe they'll get extra credit. ^_^

Haha, as annoying and uncomfortable as it is, you'd have far from the first. My 'signature' is icky. I have such bad handwriting for a chick, n' I think it's because of the weird way I was taught to hold a pencil. But none of my signatures look the same; it all depends on how I feel like writing. Can write super fast, though, so I guess that's a plus for note taking. *shrug*

Oops, what was the topic again? Oh, um...I like...funny art. Don't care the style, if it's funny (to me), it's cool.

And to answer your question . . . .ahhh . .me. Very Happy Hey, I got offered a scholarship from the Art Institute of Houston! I'm going places!! *sings Chicago*

I know what you mean. Dresses and robes are pretty, but I really think tough stuff is awesome.

TUFF sTUFF. Sorry, had to. Rolling eyes (I'll be getting around to drawing Stevie, so I suppose it's almost on topic. He'll make a good subject. And a pretty one)

Hm, abstract stuff is fun. Throwing paint down and pushing it all over. Mine usually looks like crap, but it's fun to do. Then it's carefully destroyed due to its ugliness. Razz

Hahaha! My last painting was my first attempt at one of those messy abstracts. I sponged paint on, printed it on with my hands, dripped paint, splattered it, etc. The materials I used included acrilic paint, wood, tin foil, sawdering wire, glass, clay, glue, nail polish, and metal screws. Very Happy >>>abstract thingy
