some dubbing ie; TV Yugioh is self explainatory, but there's also uncut anime too. will it really hurt anyone to pay for anime? ... stupid question. anways some dubbings are bad, but not all, and on another note not all japanese versions of said anime are particularely good, while others are perfection, it's all within perspective.

yes, thank god, but then again it's going to be on Toonami which means it's almost garanteed they'll take most of the blood out. Wink

*shakes fist* DAMN YOU 4 KIDS!!! Yeah, I actually really like the original version of One Piece, it's a mini fad for me at the momment. The problem started though, when, much to my joy, they were showing the anime in the Uk, I was looking forwards to all my favs in the characters 'n' that... Well, first thing's first... It opened with a really cheesy voice and the pirate guy was apparantly hung from the gallows rather than decapitated... That didn't matter TOO much... But then... HIP HOP AND RAP?! Huh?! Now that was a screeching theme! Yeah, the yah-yo thing can be catchy... But no! Ugh... After that they promptly managed to butcher every single character's voice, turn the beer to pineapple juice, turn guns into the world famous 'super-soakers' and cork guns... I mean, for christ's sake they turned Sanji's constant smoking to a constant lollipop... The voices were so bad and outta place I almost cried on many occasions... Basically, 4 kids is putting me off one of the things I really enjoy...

*ahem* Sorry 'bout that... Generally anime dubbing is just really poor, but like everyone else has seemed to agree, Spirited Away and Prnicess Mononoke are definatly exceptions, I mean, I was actually pretty impressed with Mononoke's cast list, y'know, Billy Bob Thornton, Minnie Driver etc. I just don't see why people can't give the same amount of time and talent to the english dubbing that japan has, I mean, at the momment, it's a booming industry... Cheap arses. <_<

I think that's because it's on adult swim.
If the people took everything out, then it wouldn't be there and Toonami would probably take over.
I love that shows music! especially the theme music. :wub:

I was getting chills at the end where they were playing the dramatic music and that purple haired cyborg lady (what IS her name???) was talking to all the other cyborg people and it was cool an yeah....
that was the first epp that I made it all the way through without falling asleep or getting bored.
The guy in the library was awsome too, great character design. WOOT for great character designs! Razz

dubbing sucks. I wish i could understand japanese.

I remember i use to watch sailormoon and they dubbed off so much so they won't hint off that two sailor senshi were lesbians. Dammit. Anime wasnt meant for 5 year olds!
