Ratin' FMA! Yay, that is my ultimate FAVORITE (note the totally awesome avatar). Ok, well....

Music: 10/10
How could you NOT like the music. They take L'Arc~en~ceil's best song on their "SMILE" album and use it as the opening song of the second "season" (the only reason I know the album name is because I stole it from my friend who is obsessed with Jrock). But, besides the vocal songs, just the regular songs they play during it are nice and fit in with what is happening.

Art: 10/10
The art is really good, brightly colored, and the shading ish teh awesomes! XD

Voice-overs: an amazing 10/10!!!!!
Another reason I love the show, THE VOICE-OVERS ARE NOT TERRIBLE! Their voices are exactly how I imagined them! And they also kept to the original Japanese version's script. I mean, yeah, they had to change some stuff, but they all got the same message across. There also isn't a continuing mouth movement after they're talking (except once in the second episode).....

Storyline: 10/10
I can understand it. It's serious and funny at the same time, which is all I need XD.

Although I agree with you on the other ratings, I don't completely agree with you on this certain one. True, the voice acting on some of the characters [in the English Version] is really great, someof them I just cannot STAND. Roy's, for example. It just doesn't suit him!! I actually figured it'd be a little smoother, but too be honest, it sounds kind of... cracked, and... way too old for him. So, for voice acting, I'd give it an:

*nod nod* yes, that is a good point. Roy does sound a bit ...old and fat. But the person did a good job on the feeling in the diolauge(mad, sad, happy..bossy) ^_^

Personally, i have a BIG problem with Greed, Gluttony, and Envy's voices.

Greed lacks the charisma he has in the japanese version
Gluttony sounds much more evil, and much less funny
and Envy sounds like a freaking 70 year old lady Grr!

Well I ain't got nothing to smoke or anything to do...So...Fayore I used your format....It's a good'un.

Berserk

-----------------------------------
Rating scale: 1-10

Now Rating: Berserk

Overall rating: 8.5/10
-----------------------------------
Music: 6/10

Personally I don't think the music is wonderful. Berserk has about 7 or 8 backround themes, and they get a wee bit repeditive. The opening song, Tell Me Why, actually reminds me more of an ending song because of the lyrics. Though the beat is foot tappin' and the singer of it sort of sounds like the lead singer from the punk band Rancid. The ending theme, Waiting So Long, is slow and it brings you down nicely. Though it makes me tired, but that's what ending songs are supposed to do. The other backround music ranges from a sort of soothing Yani sound, to a short of high tempo church music(?).

Recommended Music:

Forces, if you can find it I personally like the godhand remix of it.
Tell Me why

-----------------------------------
Animation: 8/10

This is one of the places where Berserk can excel. Most of the time, the fight scenes are in real time. Witch means that the characters actually move, opposed to the characters standing still and the backround moving. Ocassionally at an important part it will freeze frame and give you a nice picture. It generally does that at the end of an episode. Oh how I love the character designs. Some of the unimportant characters tend to look the same though. Really though backround characters are always like that. The blood and killing in this are excellent, and oh dear god so is the nudity....

-----------------------------------
Story: 8/10

I'm always impressed with this storyline because there is rarely, if any, a filler episode. Each episode has a purpose, each one showing how the wheels of Gutt's Fate and Griffith's ambition intertwine.

The story goes through the motions of Gutt's life. How he became a warrior, how he meet Griffith, how he became a commander, how the world went to hell. As A young Mercenary He meets another group of mercenaries led by the young and ambitious Griffith. They are the Band of The Hawk. Gutts fights along side Griffith, Caska, Judeau, Pipin, Corkus, and Ricket in many battles trying to Fufil Griffith's dream.
-----------------------------------
Voice Acting: Japanese - 9/10, English - 7/10

I Love the Jap. Voice Actors! Too bad some of them are only in berserk. I love Gutts' jap. voice.
Gutts - Hayashi Nobutoshi -Only Berserk...Oh but god! I love his voice so much!
Griffith - Morikawa Toshiyuki - Hayashimizu Atsunobu(Fullmetal Panic)
Pippin - Masuo Amada - only berserk, his english voice is better.
Caska - Yuko Miyamura -Kazuha Toyama (detective Conan)
Corkus - Hayashi Nobutoshi - Nothing important, I hate his english dub voice...and this one....I hate you Corkus!
Judaeu - Akira Ishida- Cho Hakkia(Saiyuki), Athrun (Gundam SEED), Gaara (naruto), Hajime Mizuki (prince of Tennis), Xellos (slayers), Chrono (Chrono Crusade), There is more, apparently he's a famous man....
Ricket - Akikio Yajima -Kohaku(Inuyasha), Dorathy (Big O)

In my opinion the English Dub isn't all that bad....The voices are good, Gutts and Griffith have awesome dub voices. Other than that.....Well Corkus' voice annoys the hell out of me. His whole character does. You just wanna....URG! Ricket is a wee bit squeaky and prepubecent, but that's to be expected.

-----------------------------------

Okay, done......bored.....but done....
