First off, here are a few rules you must learn:

1 - PATIENCE. If you don't have that, you don't have anything. Sadly, it seems everybody must learn this the hard way.

2 - No double-posting, please. It's only been THREE MINUTES between your posts; that's just plain impatient. No matter how urgent your question is or how badly you need help, when you post it on a forum, you should wait AT LEAST 24 hours before you check back to see if somebody responded.

3 - Please use the attachment feature ONLY when you need to. Attachments take up server space & resources just like a fanart submission does, so please use it sparingly. If the image has nothing to do with the discussion or thread, then don't attach it.

4 - Finally, you should learn to do your own investigation, your own self-help. Sometimes (not all the time, but often enough) if you spend 5-10 minutes exploring the problem or reading through Help files, you may find the answer quickly, and then you won't even have to ask in the first place.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, you need help with your scanner, correct?

Do you not have the user manual that came with the scanner? If you do, READ IT, it will have a basic tutorial describing the steps involved for scanning an image into the computer.

If not... then you're going to have to figure it out yourself. For starters....
- Put your drawing on the scanner glass like you would for a Xerox machine. Picture side down, and close the lid.
- Hit the "Scan" button on your scanner.
- A Windows dialog box saying "Hardware Event" (or similar) should pop up in a few moments. Select whichever program looks like it matches your scanner.
- When the scanner utility program loads, it will access the scanner and give you a thumbnail of the image. From here you can tweak the settings for optimum exposure and contrast, set the scan resolution (picture size), and so on. Exact steps vary depending on the scanner utility, so when in doubt, consult the "Help" menu.
