Alright, I'm trying to add this picture to my gallery, but it continues to tell me it's too big to upload. I resized it so frikkin' much, and now it looks horrible, and I STILL can't get it on. You say that it can't be no higher than 300k, but when I look at others people's pics, they're OVER that, and yet they were able to get them on. WTF is goin' on??? *wants to add the pic* <_<

Use the "Register" option on the FAC main page instead of the one on the FAC forums.

Images linked in from a different domain are not subject to the 300kb limit, because those pictures aren't actually stored on the FAC server. ALL pictures uploaded from one's computer must fit under the 300kb limit.

300kb is a decent amount of space, so if you can't fit a picture into that limit, then you're doing something wrong. More information please!

You sure? Check the tabs at the top of the FAC main page. A "Logout" tab will appear if you're logged in. If you don't see it, then you're not logged in (probably due to FAC's classic login problem).

BTW, don't be afraid to log in on the forums too. It's a different login session than the FAC main site, but then we'll at least know who you are.

go to my controls which is at the top of the page
and then you'll have a list on the left of the page with three sections
in the third section it has a link that sais Edit Avatar Settings
clickt that and you can upload a new image or link one from a site Wink

well it sais it's case sensitive which means that you have to type your password exactly the way you did originally.. so no extra caps or less caps than you originaly had... f this is not the case then i'm sorry i can't help you

Case sensitive means, for example, that "password", "PASSWORD", and "PaSsWoRd" are considered three different passwords.

So you went to change your password... did you try logging in with both passwords?

Indeed, you're not making much sense there. To get a picture from paper to computer, you need a scanner. (Digital cameras can be made to work, but they're a poor substitute) You basically put your drawing on the scanner glass, close the lid, then hit the "Scan" button on it. This should call up your scanner utility program so you can select the area to scan, the scan resolution (size), and fine-tune the exposure settings for optimum contrast, and so forth.

Only registered FAC users can leave comments. So, make sure you're registered on FAC and logged in on the main page (you can tell when you are because there'll be a "Logout" tab at the top and your username displayed in the list at the bottom) . Then, just view a picture, and there'll be an "Add Comment" link near the bottom of the page.

It is possible to upload the image as a forum attachment and copy the URL from there ... but it's not recommended.

Yeah, you have to have it some where on the 'net. I recommend www.photobucket.com; they allow direct linking to images you upload on there, as long as the image is less than 250kbs. Which is a lot, especially since you're wanting a signature picture - that's probably not going to be anywhere near 250kb. Surprised

They even generate the image tags for you, so you don't need to write it - just copy & paste.

Hmm... have you changed your password any since the last time you logged in?

I try to log in on FAC but it won't let me do it. I go on "log in", type my user name and password, the page loads but I'm not log in. I dunno why it does that. I trye many time but it just won't work. Sad

I didn't change my password and even took the chance to get it by clicking on the "forgot password" and it's not changed. I didn't made any changes. I still doesn't want to work. It's not the first time it does it but before it took a couple of times and I was logged in but this time it really doesn't do it. Sad

It put's me as a guess.

The 8 hours is an [i]estimate[/i], not a rule. Actual approval times vary, so don't fret over it.
