That's not a pop-up (per se) though, that's the actual [i]ad[/i].

If that PSP thing came on its own, then you beat the odds.

You saw one of 2,687 out of 3,432,329 so far this month that are Rich Media Overlay (and pay 8 or 9 times more than the average other banner).

I will try to get the sound ones removed now that I have the advertisment arrangements more sorted out (at least 'till Adzilla gets back to me)

That's... quite a number WTF?

"Rich Media Overlay", huh? The PSP thing happens mostly on mouseover.

(Edit), However, the PSP ad [i]just[/i] earned itself a 5/5 on my annoyance scale.

The ad appeared when I was viewing an artist's gallery (list view). After it pops up like that, after it went back to normal banner size, for whatever reasons (browser differences?), [i]I cannot click on any of the links it covered up![/i] This includes the link for "_____'s Profile", "Thumbnail View", "Recent Stories", and the FAC "Search" button. None of them will respond :angry:

I've had the sounds removed and after giving some time to see the results of that I may also remove the PSP one too.

I'd love to remove the AdultFriendFinder banners, but there are just so many of them and the advertisor can't fill my ad space as it is.

As for the targeting of the ads......Targeted ads like the google and sponsered links make me less money because they are click based and typical click rates are poor.

Did anyone notice that the "Shoot the Cockroach" banner seems to be spelled "[b]Cocroach[/b]" ? :lol:

Anyway, new gripe. This ad, I rate at a 4 out of 5 annoying. One, while I can't rule this out as a computer glitch on my end, it produces significant GUI lag on my Firefox browser (when I have multiple tabs open). And two, I dunno what kind of "participation" they require, but the XBox 360 is NOT OUT YET.

The new top banner placement is exparimental and wont last long, but if its profitable (and it looks like it is) it will partly replace the other one.

as for annoying content, let me know over the next day or so and I'll request the most annoying ones removed.

The annoying ones are generally not annoying as in [i]offensive[/i], I think it's just becaues some ads are more cpu-heavy than others, and if several of the 'heavier' ones are open across multiple tabs, my browser starts to seriously lag (all but hanging).
