Parents and babysitters are different in the fact that...
Parents know there kids where as us babysitters don't,say the kid was afraid of something,the parents would know,babysitters more than likely wouldn't.
Parents know when the kids lying and we babysitters have to guess ^_^ .
The kids listen to there parents,but treat us like kids ourselves.
And paying yourself to watch your own kids kinda odd.
Perhaps it's because we are the door for the parents time out,they can go off for a while and know little billy aint destroying anything.Theres my answers for ya hope it helps ya ^_^ .

Anyways, as a babysitter I know that kids don't really respect you like they would their real parents. And if the babysitter is smaller than the kid they are watching then the babysitter has a risk of getting her ass kicked. :wacko:

You never thought I was short? Yep, I put up a big game but I'm just a 5'2 girl trying to not get stepped on by taller people. Uneasy

Anyways, another thing I've found that happens when you babysit the same kids for awhile is that you develope a bond with the kids that the parents don't have. Sort of like a big sister or big brother bond. The kids I babysit look up to me in a way that they can tell me things they feel that they can't tell their parents (i.e who they have a crush on in school, so-and-so is so stupid, etc.) So lately babysitting has become a time where I have to listen to schoolyard gossip. Its a good thing I have better listening skills. Razz

What about when you are forced to babysit someone. Like me for instance.

I had to baby sit my 2 cousins and they are the devil's children sent from below with direct orders from hell to torture me.

I had to baby sit them and all they do is try there best to annoy me and they do a goooooooooood job of it. when i used to wear either my favorite shirts or something really nice. My cousin austin would try to spit on my shirt and since he loves power rangers so much he would do the stupidest reenactment of them kicking and going " HEYAH". Then like a true person who doesn't know what there doing runs up to people and either tried to boot them in nuts (he has never succeded with me) or try to punch you in the stomach( not often but sometimes)Plus he's a little butterball who is in like 5th grade and weighs like 150 pounds he is so fat its not funny. But i still laugh anyway.

One time he came at me like a psycho with my grandmother's long sharp kitchen knife and tried to stab me. but i got a broom stick and smacked it out of his hand and poked him in the stomach [b]HARD[/b] and he fell to the ground crying.

[b]THANK YOU 10 YEARS OF KARATE[/b]

Then there is my other cousin Nicole, she is the absolute biggest tattletail there is in the universe. She would actually try to write down everything i did to tell my grandmother what i was up too. she wrote things like i watched tv instead of doing homework and other annoying things like that.

Then she would cry at every chance she got. If she had to take a shower first then she would throw a temper tantrum and say " I DON'T WANNA GO FIRST." She would kick and scream and yell to where my ears would bleed. Or atleast want too.
when her dad started to date again she hated his last girlfriend and he took his kids on there first date. She threw a temper tantrum saying" I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE WITH HER, SHE'S UGLY AND YADA YADA YADA". She is also the kind of person to sucker punch you in the gut when your not looking and then run to the nearest adult so i couldn't hit her back. Then she would continue this forever.

When i'm with them they make hell surround me, i loath those children, i just want to give them cloroform and drop them off in another state and leave them. mwahahahahahahahahaha.

Plus, no one ever punishes them for anything they do. They get bad grades "that's ok you'll do better next time."
If they broke something expensive. "that's ok just watch out next time"
Not once have my grandparents punished them same with there mom and dad. But OHHH once i get in trouble thats different. Punish the innocent one. even if he is guilty. (grumble)

Luckily for me. The worst is over i don't have to baby sit them anymore and they got older so they are a bit more mature......sigh..... i just hope i never get to see children like that again.

It is the whole reason why i hate children and am void of ever wanting them. I'd be to frightened that they would turn out like them. That is why everytime i see a crying baby i just want to walk over to it and slap it and say

SHUT UP YOU STUPID BABY. BE QUIET, YOU ANNOYING LITTLE SACK OF MONKEY POO.

I feel so sorry for you Hawk,but that was the best worst babysitting moment I've ever read!!!!!!! Laughing

As for the kid thing,they were like that cuz of there parents more likely,it's really surprizing what saying no can do Razz

.If you raize your kids with a bit of discipline ,and love them, and tell them what's wrong and right you should do fine ^_^ !

They are much better now but in there hay day there were satin incarnite and how about that your lucky to hear that being the worst babysitting thing ever. so thank yah and i do kind of know that if you raise them properly they will turn out ok but its one of the many excusses i use to get out of talk about children.

I remember my babysitter her name was Iva. She was a sweet woman with a really cool bird name Matilda that would nibble on your ear and hair and stuff and she never bite anyone. She had ferrets, they smell really bad and a bunch of fish. We would feed them everyday. It was fun she had a special house for us all to play in and we could watch tv or play with the bird or ferrets and she was really cool.

She sounds cool ^_^ ,I can't remember my babysitters name but sometimes she'd take me and my brother to a really cool huge arcade like place somewere near CA it was awsume Very Happy

,but then we moved and I grew up ^_^ ,but I've got some really neat memories still ^_^ .
