More 'bad' Words?

The members are useing These words, F**k and S**T won't do any more.

:huh: I'm not sure what you want done. No amount of blocking will help. Especially since there's a very simple way to disable the filter, anyway.

it doesn't really matter, the kids have been urged to stay out of the spam forum, but most posters there are children, and all of us act like children anyway, so...

its mostly the kids who do that anyway.....just close your eyes...tap your heels three times and you will wake up in a world of happy polite people....or you could just ask poliltey that they tone down the language . Smile

it is mostly younger kids that curse anyway. and i know that if you asked some of them to toned the language down, they just curse you right back. *shrugs* its another thing the world will never be rid of....

A lot of bad words and inappropriate(hope I spelled that right)phrases are used at my school,so I don't have a problem with it except if someone is being called those words. Grr!

Lol, my school was like 100 times worse than wut goes around on here.
Now coming to the site part for 'bad words', mostly its not to bad. It's only really bad when ppl start saying 'Ure art is just plain a$s $h*t', otherly known as flaming.

its never bothered me really......weather it be on the forums or if someone actually says it to me..but i can see how it could offend some people.....

Wherever you are, it's always the same. Did you ever hear sumone from quebec says bad words ? I don't know if it's cuz english is not my fisrt language, but I'm sure that in french there's more bad words of the kind of f**k or s**k !! lol ^_^ Anyway, we can't change anything for this site...

Profanity is a matter of etiquette, we can only ask that people avoid using it. The more we try to enforce it (auto-censors and such), the more people will just find new ways to get around them (I know at least two such ways - but my lips are sealed) .

Often, profanity doesn't carry the same cultural 'weight' when outside of its native tongue.

you're true stratadrake. words didn't got the same sense in each language. sapristi is not really a bad word : in french we use it to replace a real bad word... we take church word and put sum damn other letters at the end and it become a bad word, even for the people who are not religious.

My french teacher said that Sapristi was whole alot worse in actual France, but not so much in Satelliite France (Quebec, Louisiana, French Guinea)...

I'll still use it though.
